Fabulous room, with all modern touches and facilities in the Palazzo, all within the centre of Mdina. Omar was a very welcoming host and all the staff were very helpful and attentive also. Breakfast was delicious and we were delighted with this location for exploring Mdina. We had to leave in the middle of the night due to an early flight but Omar had given us a packed breakfast to bring along which we were very grateful for.

Every inch of the space exudes elegance, from the carefully preserved 150-year-old architectural details, including the charming "garigor" staircase, to the incredible collection of original contemporary art—some of which were created by the host herself. The attention to detail is simply unmatched, making this boutique hotel a true hidden gem. A Room That Redefines Five-Star Luxury The moment I opened the door to my room, I was blown away by the level of luxury. The bedding and linens were absolute perfection, soft and crisp, making for an incredibly restful night’s sleep. The pillow menu was a particularly thoughtful touch, ensuring that every guest finds their perfect level of comfort. The room was designed with true five-star indulgence in mind—a fully stocked mini-bar, an impressive wine menu, and a sleek coffee station complete with a high-end coffee machine ensured I had everything I needed at my fingertips. The bathrobes and slippers added a touch of luxury, and the in-room safe provided extra peace of mind. Every little detail had been carefully considered to create an experience that rivals the best five-star hotels in the world. A Breakfast Worth Waking Up For Morning at Howard House Hotel is nothing short of a treat. The warm, inviting atmosphere made breakfast feel like an intimate experience rather than just another hotel meal. The beautifully presented buffet offered a variety of hot and cold savory delights, all fresh and of the highest quality. I particularly loved the made-to-order eggs, prepared exactly to my preference, and the freshly baked croissants, which were warm, flaky, and utterly delicious. It was the perfect way to start the day.

A fantastic place to stay. It’s in a lovely residential area which is very central to both harbours (about 8mins walk to both). We had the penthouse for the week which was brilliant. The hot tub was lovely to sit in on an evening and have a glass of wine. There’s a mini bar which is not expensive. There’s a microwave/grill to warm any food. There’s no washing machine but there is a laundry service. The staff are very good and very friendly and the hotel is immaculately clean. We cannot fault this hotel and will be returning.

Such a beautiful city with amazing buildings within the medieval old capitol. It's busy with tourists during the day and would highly recommend returning in the evening when it's so eerily quiet, but amazing. We ate in a rooftop restaurant, The Knights Kitchen so we could see the amazing sunset over Mdina. There are horse and carts to take you around, but we walked and enjoyed the tiny alleyways. Stunning city

A delightful small, quiet city....it was nice to stay within...

A delightful small, quiet city....it was nice to stay within the walls of the city for the nighttime experience. It became the silent city. not a lot to see, but what is there was interesting. Rabat is literally a short walk across a pedestrian friendly bridge with lots of activity. Certainly Mdina is worth a visit.

We had an exceptional stay at the Howard House Hotel in Rabat. Mariella was amazing, so friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. As first time visitors in Malta, celebrating our anniversary, she went above and beyond to make us feel at home and have the best experience. She gave us all the local tips we needed. The staff, Grace and Richard were very friendly, kind and helpful. It's one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Individualised care where you truly feel like a guest, not just a number. Highly recommended.

A well situated and comfortable house. It was nicely appointed and a good size for a family of three. Parking is available (we recommend Mdina Ditch but the walk up the hill is savage) at no cost. The city itself is a delight and the medieval charm is complemented by a number of nice restaurants and tea rooms.
