Eliene was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Thanks to her support, I was able to take the taxi-brousse to Morondava. The room was quiet and very comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. There are a few small shops nearby where you can easily buy food and drinks, and the town center is also within walking distance. I really appreciated the warm hospitality and would happily stay here again. I can truly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tana!

Proximity to the airport was the main reason of choosing the hotel. And it was the best choice, I could make. The room was spacious, sparkling clean with comfy bed with good linen. Internet was high speed. I had to check out the hotel at 04:00 am and requested transfer to the airport. The process was seemless.

    I spent two days in Tana.

    I spent two days in Tana. The first day, I rested in my room, by the pool, got a massage and relaxed on the balcony at sunset. Then I chatted with the friendly staff at the bar until bedtime. On day two, I had a very good guide and driver who took me around the city. I'm so glad we visited the markets, and the Queen's Palace!

    I loved the visit of the Queens' palace! People in Antananarivo are very friendly, driving is smooth and seems safer than many other cities! Life is also affordable with a viety of different items you might need.

    Antananarivo is what it is.

    Antananarivo is what it is. Which is to say dirty, dusty, noisy and overcrowded. Lots of beggars. Traffic moves at speed of molasses when it’s moving at all - there are no traffic lights, some intersections have traffic cops but they appear to be ignored. And yet…no, there’s no as yet, it is what it is.

    polluted city, quite safe though. only thing that really disturbed me was the fact that kids and women with babies will follow you to harass you to give them money. They will walk long distances with you until you give them a little money.

    Some great places to visit, but the taxi prices are out of control! It is much too expensive just to travel 1 km. Airport taxis are a rip-off. There should be more transparency and printed prices to main destinations.

    There are not many places to visit in Antananarivo and it is not recommended that you go out alone - particularly after dark. It was the start and end point of a wildlife tour for myself and my friend and the tour guide organised a walking tour for half a day which was very good. Without the guide, I think we would have struggled to find our way around and avoid the people begging for money and/or trying to pick our pockets!!

    La Ribaudière is always so amazing! This is my third time over the last 7 years to visit Madagascar and stay in La Ribaudière. The staff is always very helpful, the food is always very good and the price is always right. Americans visiting Antananarivo, this is a must! They speak great english and are willing to arrange money exchange.

    This was my second stay at Chat-o Park, and I would return again if I find myself needing accommodation near the Ivato airport. The rooms are clean and modern--best shower in Madagascar--and the staff friendly and helpful. This is a great place to relax while waiting for a flight, or to base oneself for Ivato area sightseeing.
