Perfect stopover! Clean rooms in ideal location with plenty of free parking in the street at least when we arrived. Super helpful! We were lucky she organised everything for us to have our laundry cleaned and dried for a great price! We were just unlucky with WiFi issues, which were partially fixed but only in the common area.

The host was waiting for us as we pulled up and the apartment was perfect. It was compact and had everything we needed so super cozy. The extra amenities were wonderful. It is located near a lovely cafe/restaurant with a field, small animal farmm and toys to play with for children. I say close, but it's on the opposite side of the river so a couple minute walk and none of the noise carries over.

The apartment is fantastic! You can find everything you need in it, they thought of all the details. In front of the apartment you have a private parking lot and a place to rest. The hosts are very kind! They are at your disposal at all times. The apartment is what was very important to me. They have their own dog who is very friendly, so I didn't have to worry a bit. They spent a lot of time playing together in the yard. All recommendations!

Not much to see in the city itself.

Not much to see in the city itself. I enjoyed a train trip followed by a long walk to the Ostrog monastery, plus a short walk around the local monuments in Niksic. Staying here is more comfortable and cheaper than e.g. in Podgorica. If you do not have a car, then it may be more practical for you to stay in Podgorica, because most other places of interest in Montenegro (such as Budva or Kotor) are better accessible from there.

It can be hard to find a lot of things to do here once you...

It can be hard to find a lot of things to do here once you spend a day walking around the town and visit the lake for a few swimming sessions, but if you enroll in the language school then it becomes much more enjoyable. The air quality is a little bit poor, as there are a lot of smokey cars, although it's very beautiful if you take a trip out into the mountains and well located for travel to other parts of Montenegro. Public transport is inexpensive, so staying in Niksic can work well if you're on a budget and want to take day trips to see the whole of the country. Everyone was very pleasant to me here, and you can make friends - especially if you make an effort to speak the language.

No nonsense town with attractive square a lots of cafes and bars. Lively night life. Drink easier to find than food and quite a lot of fast foos/pizza options. Has some medeival fortifications which are rather untended. Close enough to the famous Ostrog Monastery (1/2 an hour) for a day trip if you have a car. The 'Boulangerie' near main square is a good place for breakfast and light lunch options

Beautiful nature in the surroundings - many worthwhile places to visit and relax. A city with a specific relaxed atmosphere, several wonderful bridges in and around the city. Specific architecture of old houses. Fortress.

Unfortunately we stayed only one night on our long way home.

Unfortunately we stayed only one night on our long way home. It is the closest town to the Ostrog monastery and a great starting point to discover Durmitor national park. We had an excellent traditional dinner in a local reataurant.

We had a great 3-day stay at Hotel Marshal in Montenegro and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel’s convenient location gave us the perfect base to explore the mountains and the northern part of the country. Despite our very late check-in, we received excellent service. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and tasty. Everyone we met—from hotel to restaurant staff —was friendly and kind. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Luksuzan, super moderan stan u samom centru grada u kojem cu boraviti svaki sledeci put kada posjetim Niksic. Stan je besprekorno cist i prelijepo uredjen. Opremljen je svim potrebnim sadrzajima i posjeduje parking mjesto u garazi. Vladimir je veoma ljubazan i predusretljiv domacin, komunikacija sa njim je bila vrlo ekifasna. Sve pohvale. 😊

Comfortable bed. Well equipped and very clean bathroom. Room nicely appointed. Good to be in the attractive centre of the town. Niksic usefully located between Podgorica and mountains. Recommend Merak - distinctly down-market eating place offering excellent kebabs at reasonable prices. Niksic's own beer an agreeable accompaniment.
