We spent wonderful two weeks in Montenegro, staying the entire time at Hotel Velkom. It is run by exceptionally warm and kind hosts who treat their guests with genuine care. We felt truly special throughout our stay. We had everything we needed here for a pleasant and relaxing holiday. It’s not often that we build such a lovely relationship with our hosts as we did here, which only confirms that this place is truly unique. The language barrier was never an issue - we enjoyed chatting with the hosts every day and learning many words in Montenegrin, and whenever needed, their son communicated perfectly in English. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sutomore, in a quiet area just a few hundred meters from the lively tourist center of town (which was a deliberate choice on our part - it only took 10 minutes to get there and grab something to eat). In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing on the spacious balcony with a breathtaking view of the entire bay, the town, the mountains, and the sunsets. We truly felt like we were living in luxury. On rest days, we made use of the hotel pool and the area around it, where we spent time comfortably. Just a 2-minute walk away, there were also several small public beaches, peaceful and perfect for relaxing in silence. For breakfast, we especially loved the delicious Montenegrin priganice, freshly made by the host himself. We could eat them endlessly… The hotel also offers an underground garage (at street level), with an elevator that takes you directly from there. It’s also worth mentioning that the rooms and the shared spaces are clean, and the Wi-Fi works very well. Excellent value for money. The location of the hotel is perfect as a base for exploring all of Montenegro. A big advantage is the convenient and affordable train and bus connections to many towns. We recommend visiting Stari Bar, Petrovac na Moru, Sveti Stefan, Budva, Kotor, and Ulcinj. Thank you for a wonderful time and a fantastic holiday. You are truly special!

I arrived very late and was very tired, but the super friendly welcome from the receptionist made me feel very welcomed and lightened up my mood significantly. The room and breakfast was quite nice as well. I particularly liked the shower.

The room was so good, just in the center of Sutomore; close to everything. The room was clean, spacious and had sea view. The staff was so kind. The towels changed everyday. The breakfast was enough. There were hot and and cold choices. The pool was a good opportunity especially for the kids.There is a small fridge in each room(not seen in the photos). We liked everything related to the hotel.

Wow and well, where do I begin. This is categorically, definitely an indubitably the best hotel we have ever stayed at ever. 💓❤️‍🔥 We have stayed at many hotels over our travels and this by far is the best. 😊👍It's not just the best because of the hotel itself, the rooms are impeccable and also the best room we've ever stayed in with the most beautiful views of the sea and a double balcony. Not just for the amazing spas and swimming pools here. It is truly for the level of care, kindness and love shown by everybody who works here. I don't truly know where to begin with our "thank yous" for everyone. 💞Firstly Jovana, David and Jasmina on the front desk and everybody else who works there, Tijana, Elza and Svetlana (for her wonderful massage too) and to the bar/restaurant staff and maids (with the best cocktails) and Igor, Andrea, Milica, Milena and Anna and to the chef Stefan (who cooked us THE best Sea food platter we have ever eaten), the managers and everybody else I may have missed, sorry if I did. You all deserve a raise in salary and are by far the best team individually and as a group! 😁😁😁💞You have made our stay the best ever.❤️‍🔥 We were only staying for a short while but stayed longer because of you all, your care and love, compassion, kindness and help have all been amazing. Located right on the beach, I was travelling with 3 y.o daughter and there was a lot of children playground nearby, she was really happy. Hotel has 2 swimming pools, 1 outside, and 1 inside - it has temperature control 28•C, but for us it was still cold, outside was 20•C. The sea was also still cold in the beginning of May.
