Better than I expected for a small town. Super comfortable bed, quiet room by the lake, delicious breakfast but most importantly, the staff was AMAZING, called before arriving and she was super nice, helpful and very welcoming the next day. Highly recommend this place.

Super welcoming hosts. The cottage is decorated in a rustic/country style. The furniture and equipment is not new, some of it is old, but everything is functional. The feeling is as if you are visiting your Lithuanian friends and they are lodging you in their garden cottage. A note for colder seasons stay - the cottage is heated by a small wood stove - so a bit of an effort to operate it. But if you are not comfortable opearating it yourself, the host will do it for you. There is an outside terrace and a grill - the setting is not super picaresque, but perfectly functional.

Ignalina is a small town.

Ignalina is a small town. There is not much to see or do in the town itself. But it has a most beautifull surroundings - lakes, forests, hills. You can wander around by marked trails for days, or go cycling, or maybe rent a cayak or boat in nearby Palūšė. Ignalina is also called a winter capital of Lithuania, having a mountain ski center and some cross-country trails. It is a pitty we have less and less snow during our winters. The town also has an indoor pool complex. Ignalina is easily reachable from Vilnius by train. So, my advice for a foreigner (I am local): if you are an outdoor sports fan, or just a rambler without much goals like me - choose Ignalina as a destination for a weekend or more. If you want a bit more culture to go with that- choose Anykščiai. And if you are looking for more lazy leisure with SPA and maybe some healthcare procedures - choose Birštonas or Druskininkai. My country is amazing in every season and everyone can find something for himself.

A quiet very clean town perched near the lake.

A quiet very clean town perched near the lake. Lots of hiking cycling and walkin in the area. It is a beautiful part of Lithuania and the lake is clear and full of life. The road from Ignalina to Moletai is amoung the most beautiful I have driven in Lithuania.

I loved the peace and nature... The people were just lovely and especially the two girls that were in the Information Office near the Bus Station. They were so helpful. I wish I could remember their names but they were working on the day before the national holiday in August and I will forever remember how kind they were...

Ignalina is a small bright town in a very picturescue Nature...

Ignalina is a small bright town in a very picturescue Nature surroundings. Great landscape with lakes, hills, woods, a lot of pine trees. It gives a very easthetic, pleasant and calm experience. National park is just in few km. There are not much cheap and popular tourist entertainment, which is great to me. Ignalina gives a real poetic comfort and peace to mind. Take a car and have a daytime ride arround, You should discover just fantastic places in Nature, those are much more interesting and pleasing than usual standart "objects" offered in the local tourist centre.

As my children said, these are the best apartments we have ever rented. We came to participate in the bicycle race that takes place every year in Ignalina. The apartment amazed us with its beauty, comfort, and functionality. The youngest daughter appreciated the toys and books, the older ones the TVs, and my wife the modern kitchen. I enjoyed sitting with a cup of tea on the cozy balcony. Next time, here again!

Our host Lina is fantastic. My mum had a birthday this day and Lina made an apple pie and brought us some for tea with congratulation words, so lovely! Thank you so much! Property is excellent, spacious kitchen, two bedrooms upstairs, very clean and comfortable. Very quite area, close to beautiful lake where you can swim.Perfect sauna as well.We had really wonderful time in Ignalina.

The location of this lovely hotel is incredible - quiet, surrounded with beautiful nature, at the edge of a calm little town. The breakfast is good and ample. Parking is perfect and the value for money is extremely high, incomparable to any hotel I have ever been to.
