I had a wonderful stay at the Peridot Hotel! The cleanliness of the entire guest house was truly impressive — everything was spotless and well-maintained. The hospitality was exceptional; the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. It felt like a home away from home. Excellent facilities and service at a great location. The Sheraton at Colombo made for an amazing stay based on its central location and excellent service. We were given an upgraded room based on my Marriott status and had access to the lounge which made for a relaxing area for a bite or a beverage. Rooms were spacious and had an excellent view of the ocean, which made for a serene experience when one woke up and during the day. What topped it all off was the excellent service and the help offered, be it for a list item on our flight in, or other hotel amenities. The breakfast spread was top notch with tons of varieties and customizations! Recommend it highly if you’re planning on a visit to Colombo!

Mount Lodge Boutique is such a wonderful home from home. It was exactly what we were hoping for, and more. It oozes classic and classy Sri Lankan antique style. We felt incredibly welcome and looked after by Gamini and his wife, who have looked after the home for more than 20 years on behalf of the owners. They make you feel like family. They serve a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast in the morning. We just loved it here and was perfect for what we wanted. It is located in Dehiwela, around 20 mins ride into the heart of Colombo city. We would recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for a small, homely, peaceful place to stay. Thank you to owner Benjamin as well who assisted us with our stay and flexible when our plans needed to change unexpectedly.

Watumulla is really close to the Ocean, the beach is...

Watumulla is really close to the Ocean, the beach is stunning, and the bars great. There is a dive School (October to May) just north and the Mount Lavinia does incredible buffet lunches. Nothing better than Sunday lunch tehre, and an afternoon in the sun by the pool. Its really fast into Colombo in a Tuk.
