Our experience at this property was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, as though we were guests in a home filled with warmth and charm. This place is unlike any other—a true oasis where you can completely immerse yourself in the vacation spirit. Every detail has been so thoughtfully designed and curated, creating an environment that is both stylish and comfortable. The house has a distinct and beautiful design that blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings, giving it a unique character that made our stay unforgettable. The pool is undoubtedly the cherry on top. After a day exploring the area or even just lounging around, it was the perfect place to unwind, cool off, and enjoy some quiet moments. You could easily spend the entire day here, relaxing and taking in the serene atmosphere. The location is also excellent—just a stone's throw away from Galle Fort and within a very short distance of the beach, offering the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to explore the historic sights, soak in the vibrant local culture, or simply relax by the sea, everything is conveniently close. Our stay exceeded all expectations. The level of care and attention from the staff was impeccable—they were well-trained, friendly, and attentive to our every need. It’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel at home, and it truly elevated our experience. On top of all this, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, creating a space that was both elegant and inviting. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience that made us feel completely rejuvenated. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in all our travels across Asia. I recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Galle, you won’t regret it. And as for us, this has become a must-visit destination, and we’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Galle.

The villa itself exudes charm and elegance, with spacious rooms that are meticulously designed for comfort. Our accommodation boasted not only comfortable beds but also a fully equipped kitchen, providing us with the convenience of preparing our own meals if we wished to do so. This thoughtful inclusion added a level of flexibility to our stay, making us feel right at home. However, what truly set Villa Rumassala apart was its exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Menaka, in particular, epitomized hospitality with her warm demeanor and attention to detail. Her genuine care for our comfort and satisfaction truly made us feel like royalty. Additionally, we cannot speak highly enough of the Tuktuk driver, Sandaru, whose fair prices and friendly demeanor made exploring the area a breeze. Beautiful colonial building with nice gardens. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are so attentive and helpful. Was the perfect choice after a busy 10 days travelling around Sri Lanka. They upgraded me to a better room which was very kind.

Lovely location - close to the action, but not in the middle of it. Wonderful service - Ashan, who manages the entire villa is polite, helpful and friendly. The room was large, comfortable and clean.

Nice and cozy place. Hidden in the garden not far from central street. Railway station, frut spot ant tuk-tuk parking are close. The owner and his wife are kind, generous and honest people. And what wonderful breakfasts they serve!!!!! With fruits and local dishes. The owner built this cabins by himself during the coronavirus period, so everything is new and clean. We spent their 3 nights, and can recommend it for longer staying.

Location is perfect. The only hotel in the beach, there is no one a couple of kilometers each side. For comparison, if you go to Unawatuna you will see the difference, the very negative one. Service. The staff is very nice. Restaurant food is gorgeous. Have compared it with the best restaurants in Galle. Beach and view from the balcony are very nice.

This was our 16th place to stay in Sri Lanka. It has to be the most peaceful, relaxing and chilled out of all. Lovely clean, spacious room, with a small seating area which we loved the views onto the lake. The staff were exceptional! We also hired their kayaks and went for a trip on the serene lake. We’ll remember this place and would definitely return.

I really liked the location, however, you need to take a tuktuk to go to the center. The hotel is located rather on the outskirts of Unawaruna, but it's good as it was quiet and calm. Breakfast was very good: pancakes, eggs, fruts, toasts etc. The swimming pool is a gem! Big, warm water and open in the evening so you may swim before going to bed, very nice. There are lizards and bunnies in the garden. If you're lucky bunnies might accompany you during breakfast. In general, it the place is amazing, but I would rather recommend to avoid rooms with garden view on the ground floor. This is the room we got in the beginning but we decided to upgrade as it was very dark (like in the middle of the night), basically no view, and small. Also, an open bathroom is not always a good choice - it will be mess after rain or wind, bugs and leaves inside. After an upgrade, it was awesome and the price difference was small, it was worth an upgrade.
