So peaceful!! This was a true highlight of our trip. The beds in the tents were soooo comfy, we ended up extending for two extra night. We went on a really great hike with our guide Banu too who was so knowledgeable, it really topped off the experience for us. If you’re looking for something off the tourist track and really in nature this is definitely the place to book.

As part of our Sri Lankan tour, we arrived on 07/07/2025, and from the moment we stepped into this peaceful retreat, we felt completely at home. We requested a guided hike, a nature walk, and an educational tour focused on the rich flora and fauna of the Knuckles region—and the team delivered beyond our expectations. Every experience was thoughtfully curated, offering the perfect balance of adventure and insight. The infinity pool with its breathtaking mountain views quickly became our favorite spot to relax. The authentic Sri Lankan meals were a true culinary delight, bursting with flavor and tradition. One of the most memorable evenings was spent by the crackling bonfire, enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner under the stars—pure magic! Santani is an one of a kind hotel. Hung by the mountains, it is a place to relax and recharge. The staff is absolutely amazing, food is divine with either Sri Lanka option or European. The view from the hotel is absolutely unique. The rooms are beautiful, very well designed, and comfortable. Spa facilities (we haven’t tried the massages) are also unique.

The best host in Sri Lanka! We felt as at home!! Food was delicious and huge portions! Room was quiet, comfortable and clean. We planned to stay only one night and finally we stay an extra night. We highly recomended this place!

Retreat Luxury Eco Resort in Kandy. From the warm welcome to the exceptional hospitality, everything was top-notch. The owner, Chaminda, personally welcomed us and escorted us to the property, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The location is simply amazing with a stunning view on a lake and mountains. Small team extremely dedicated to make your stay a pleasant one. Kudos to Thiloka for her patience and always smiling. Great breakfast and food, the best we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely a place we will remember.

Getting there by private car was a challenge, google maps is simply not accurate. Best way is to contact resort before. The team is outstanding, booked only a day before and they managed to make us feel at home. Will come back for sure
