I felt at home and everyone in the family is a friendly, accommodating and a warm host. I learned a few more words of Sinhala while I helped Damayanthie with the cooking or played UNO with their children. There is a river nearby where you can swim, so I went there with the 2 kids. Subaseth Villa is amazing, deserving a top score of 10/10! This was my second visit after two years, and everything felt just as welcoming, clean, and peaceful as before, maybe even better. Last time, I missed out on experiencing village life, but this time I made sure to explore by asking for a bike. The staff went out of their way to get me one and set up a great bike tour, suggesting cool spots like the big tanks you see around here. It was a highlight of my trip! The local food here is yummy, and they also have different kinds of food if you want to try something new. The location is perfect, close to Wilpattu National Park and the ancient city of Anuradhapura, so you don't have to switch hotels to see both places. For someone like me who's used to city life, it's the best place to stay because it's like a mix of luxury and nature. Whenever I'm in this area, Subaseth Villa is where I'll be, and I recommend it to everyone!

I had an incredible stay at this property! Having visited Anuradhapura before, I can honestly say this time felt like a real getaway. The location is perfect—close to all the must-see landmarks, which made it so easy to explore the history and culture of the area. We loved our stay here. Chaya is an exceptionally warm and welcoming hostess. The accommodation was charming (we were in the cottage). Air conditioning and the new wifi were very good. Chaya arranged an excellent tuktuk tour with a very helpful driver (Nameka). Her cooking is superb. We also did a Sri Lankan cooking class with Chaya - this was held in her lovely outside kitchen dining area. Highly recommended.

The host and is family are incredibly kind, welcoming, gentle and helpful ! Very peaceful place, quiet ! Bedroom is very comfy, super bathroom with a lot of water pression They welcomed us with a tea and homemade biscuits !
