After a few minor misunderstandings at the beginning, we were warmly welcomed into this little corner of paradise just outside Colombo. Thanks to Chandrika, a truly wonderful host, we immediately felt at home. We are a family of four, and each of us had a perfectly furnished private bedroom — a real comfort during our stay. The apartment is beautifully maintained with great attention to detail. The residence itself is safe, with guards at the entrance, and offers excellent facilities: a beautiful swimming pool and a tennis court, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Although slightly outside the city center, tuk-tuks made it easy and convenient to reach everything we needed. Breakfast, prepared daily by Chandrika, was always delicious, generous, and varied — a real highlight of our stay. In short, this place is not only worth trying once, but definitely worth coming back to. Highly recommended!

We stayed here on the last night of our trip and it couldn't have been a better way to end the holiday. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious (beautifully runny poached eggs at breakfast) and the service was fantastic. Wish we'd had more than one night!

Despite some misunderstandings caused by credit card charges through the bank, the hotel manager, Mr. Kariyawasam remained professional and kind in handling the situation. The staff were also very friendly, and the facilities were modern and well-maintained. Overall, if I were to recommend a place to stay in the area, Viluxey City Hotel would undoubtedly be my top choice.

They sat down with us, maps in hand, and laid out detailed, insider tips on what to see and which hidden gems most travelers miss. They even suggested ideas for future trips beyond this stay—talk about going the extra mile! The villa itself is spot-on: the pool is crystal-clear and perfect for lazy afternoons, the bed is wonderfully comfy (we slept like babies), and the shower has proper hot water with excellent pressure—exactly what you want after a day of exploring. The cups of local tea were amazing too If you’re looking for a place where you’re treated like family, book here,

My recent stay at Hatch House was the perfect fusion of comfort and functionality during a business trip to Colombo. Opting for an overnight stay to accommodate a series of meetings and a desire to work late into the night, Hatch House provided an ideal setting, sparing me the hassle of hopping between cafes or the bustle of coworking spaces. Hatch House lived up to its promise of high-speed internet, a crucial factor for my work requirements. The generous desk/ledge extending along half a wall provided ample workspace, offering a quiet and dedicated environment for focused work. While the room provides basics for tea and coffee, it's important to note that only one water bottle is provided daily. If you require additional supplies, 'Glomark' on the ground floor is a convenient option for purchasing essentials. Concerning dining options, there's a Barista on-site, and they offer room service upon request. Hatch House also recently opened a new restaurant and bar. For a broader culinary experience, consider using Uber Eats to order from a variety of Colombo's top restaurants if the hotel's options don't meet your preferences. What keeps me coming back (7 times and counting) is the consistent service. Anthony and the front desk team are on point, always ready to assist. Highly recommended!

As a female solo traveler, my experience at Zylan Boutique Hotel in Colombo was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the warmest hospitality, making me feel instantly welcome and safe in a foreign city. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was both spacious and immaculately clean. The room boasted great water pressure in the shower, and the bathroom amenities – including a dental kit and shower gel – were thoughtfully provided, which I greatly appreciated as I was traveling with hand luggage only. Breakfast at Zylan was a delight. The à la carte menu offered a variety of classic options, allowing me to choose from freshly prepared eggs, chicken sausage, or pork bacon, accompanied by crispy hash browns, a delightful fruit platter, and an assortment of breads with jams, oats, and cereals. There was certainly something for every palate, and the quality exceeded my expectations. The attentive service at Zylan Boutique Hotel truly stood out. The staff was not only friendly but also highly professional, providing stellar service that is worthy of a five-star rating. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident throughout my stay. The hotel is situated in a calm area away from the hustle and bustle, which allowed me to enjoy some peaceful moments after a day of exploring Sri Lanka's vibrant culture. I wholeheartedly recommend Zylan Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Colombo, particularly for solo travelers. I enjoyed my time so much that I would come back immediately! Thank you, Zylan, for making my stay so memorable.
