This is a beautiful boutique hotel in Galle. The whole mansion is an completely renovated colonial house. They kept all the original charm though, it's really beautiful. It's right in the centre of Galle, but in a very quiet little street, which makes it ideal (centre & quiet!). The rooms are amazing, and you can see monkeys just outside your window! There is also a great swimming pool. Very highly recommended!

The building is exceptionally beautiful! We had the luck to be upgraded to a room with garden view. The whole team was super kind and supportive. The chef prepares very delicious food, both for breakfast and for dinner, in case you chose to visit the connected beachclub across the road in the evening. Thank you for the hospitality!

Everything was great! The hotel was clean and comfortable. The food was really good and there was plenty of variety. My stay at Scenery River Star Hotel was truly unforgettable. Nestled by the riverbank, this hotel offers a breathtaking view and a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, particularly the noise of Hikkaduwa. It is a lovely quiet paradise where neither the sound of cars nor trains can disturb the peace. The room was cleaned correctly, providing comfort, with a terrasse that offered a view of the river — a perfect spot for sitting and relaxation. A highlight of my stay was kayaking on the lake, which the hotel arranged for me. Paddling peacefully on the water was a delightful way to take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. What truly sets Scenery River Star Hotel apart is its commitment to guest satisfaction. The staff were always very helpful. I highly recommend Scenery River Star Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with impeccable service, stunning views and enjoyable activities like kayaking.

Galle as a city can be quite hectic, so this property kind of is the type of place you need to relax and cool down. Elegant, spacious room and a shared pool surrounded by a beautiful garden with huge trees providing much needed shade. On top of that, fantastic host and staff :)

Such a memorable 3 night stay in this beautiful 600 year old boutique hotel. The building and decor were stunning, rooms super comfortable, and staff amazing. The 5 course breakfasts, morning tea/coffee trays and the Prince’s Long Island Iced Teas were such a treat. Other highlights were the King’s Residence bedroom, piano man who takes song requests and the bugle player for the evening rooftop flag ceremony.

The villa has several communal sitting areas that are all very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The garden/ pool area is peaceful and even attracted a kingfisher bird. Our room and bathroom was large and the bed was perfect. The Sri Lankan breakfast option was delicious. The staff were attentive and always smiling.
