I had a wonderful stay at this private luxury cottage near Galle. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage was exceptionally clean, with comfortable linens and all the necessary amenities, including tea, coffee, hot water, and toiletries—all provided free of charge. The complimentary WiFi covered the entire cottage, ensuring a seamless connection. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast, served in a peaceful setting with the soothing sounds of birds and stunning nature views. The location is ideal, close to popular tourist attractions such as waterfalls and monasteries. Additionally, the nearby village offers unique experiences like cinnamon peeling, hiking, and birdwatching. The Staff of Ellankanda Villa made our stay so very pleasent. The food was excellent(!) and we always felt very cared about. Rooms are very clean and you can tell that there is a sense of detail, which give the place its charme. It is a quite place, but you can nicely explore the area by yourself (or in our case we were even gives a small tour by the Staff - thank you again!). Absolut recommendation if you want to spend some quite days in a great place.

We had a great stay. The rooms are nice and spacious. Everything was very clean and felt luxurious. The staff was great and showed us around in their big garden. It has jungle vibes and is very nice tranquil. The pool is nice too. The food is also very good breakfast as well as their menu for dining. A disadvantage could be that it is somewhat further away from other restaurants or activities. We had our own transport so it was no issue for us. The hotel can arrange transport. It's something to take into consideration.

I stayed at Sindu Grand Cabana, and it was a truly wonderful experience for us. There is only one private cottage with its own swimming pool, and I highly recommend it for couples who want a peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable stay. The cabana is surrounded by a quiet village environment with no vehicle noise perfect for enjoying nature, good vibes, and even reading a book in total calm. Villa 42 is, in short a hidden gem. For anyone looking for comfort, privacy and wonderful hospitality they won't get any better than this lovely villa just half a mile or so from gorgeous (mostly empty) beaches and several decent restaurants (ask Siri for recommendations). Siri will provide his pampered guests with the best of breakfasts adapting tp personal taste (Sri Lankan style or to more western taste). Siri's well maintained swimming pool will be your refreshing reward after a few hours of Sri Lankan heat.
