The villa is well laid out with all required facilities. It's clean and tidy. The owner was there to receive us and to handover the property. He is very plesent, friendly and corporative. We had full prevacy, comfort and all the freedom. The most liked pat was that the owner allowed our pet dog Labrador to stay with us. Our Labrador was the most enjoyed and thrilled out of all of us, as the dog enjoyed the garden freely by playing and jumping in to the pond in front of the property. The facilities are luxurious and entire property is equipped to satisfy our full expectations.

The host Buddhika is a very gracious host, we were able to see his tea fields and were welcomed in his house, he even made us homemade drinks and talked about the different kinds of plants in his garden. The pick up service was excellent and he helped us to get on the right bus. The two cottages are very beautiful, equipped with everything you need (best ac so far in Sri Lanka) and have a very peaceful view of the lake, in a short walking distance is a spot to swim. It’s near the street, which you can sometimes hear. Buddhika prepared very delicious dinners for us and provided everything we needed and more whilst being respectful of our privacy. We took a trip to sinharaja national park (1h by car and then 3-4hours in the park with a guide) for a very reasonable price and again Buddhikas service was exceptional! On the way to matara we wanted to buy some tea and he took us to his family’s factory and we got a free tour and an interesting tasting. All in all we had a great stay and a very peaceful and calming experience!

Family run pension - the hosts are very friendly and helpful. Amazing location! This is a proper hideaway - the bungalows are located away from any road (the hosts would pick you up with their 4x4 from the village but you'll have to follow the narrow pathway also to reach a beautiful river cascade at the doorstep of your tiny house. Perfect place to watch nature (eagles, kingfishers, peacocks, magpies, barking deer). The family provides really good, home cooked meals, fresh juices and desserts. Treks and activities are also available. Highly recommended for anyone craving an adventure and to connect with nature. Thank you for everything!

Our stay at the Rainforest Nest was amazing. The hosts are the kindest persons, and always smiling. Saman is a great guide, thanks to him we saw a lot of endemic animals! We definitely recommend going on a rainforest tour with him. His wife is an awesome cook. We loved their food and the couple was very accommodating. The whole experience was amazing. From the warm welcom through the beautiful room with great view. And Hemel , the owner that is a gifted guide to the rainforest. So kind and nice and at the same time knowlagble and quick to spot every living thing. They are a young couple with a little girl that own and run this amazing g place. We loved this place! The views were amazing and the atmosphere was peaceful and calming. We visited the Sinharaja Forest Reserve during our stay and our host did an amazing job by organizing the whole trip there, he made everything really easy for us. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone who wants a little getaway from the busy coastline and loves nature.

The Location is very beautiful, situated in the jungle in a small village. The family was incredibly kind and made our stay feel like home. We had delicious homemade, traditional dinner and breakfast. The house is close to the entrance to Sinharaja Forest and they recommended us a great Guide who spotted lots of animals and showed us many ayurverdic healing plants. I can‘t recommend this place enough :)

The location is superb. Quiet, in the middle of nature with birds and monkeys. The natural pool nearby (50m) is refreshing. Also villagers and workers from the tea plantations will come for a swim and cooling down. Host Ravindra is very attentive and looks after you if you have questions. He has a friend who is a good driver for transfer to the next or previous location, very good service as the cabin is quite remote.
