Wonderful, tastefully decorated hotel. Lots of attention to detail. Cozy, quiet and clean. The hotel is in a busy area, but it doesn't feel it inside at all. The room we stayed in has the option of sliding the glass windows and forming a common space with a terrace. All you have in front of you is the ocean. Arriving from the airport is really easy - almost the entire way is on a toll highway. The hotel staff is extremely pleasant and kindly. I'm not even talking about Francesca. She's amazing!!! Thank you for the early check in and late check out. I haven't had a tastier breakfast in those regions. Even the espresso was good, which is rare in Sri Lanka or I haven't been in right places. Be sure to try the massage. Something unique.

We had such a great time and highly recommend Amaroo. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was welcoming and polite. Amaroo is right by a surf spot and we enjoyed a surf lesson with skilled instructors - our surfing improved after just one lesson.

The SAFFRON Robes Living is a spectacular place, perfect for staying in Hikkaduwa, close to the city town but in the middle of beautiful green surrounding, with amazing and extremely kind personnel, the best service of (among others) Theekshana, me and my partner will come back for sure and we are very grateful for all the wonderful welcome that we received. The stuff is very helpful, they arranged for us yoga class and transfer to the airport, even brought me the Incenses to but that I couldn’t find. The breakfast was delicious, the room very beautiful, big, with two beautiful pillows to sit on them and really nice balcony. We could really relax there, also they have a Saffron Gallery which is simply a spectacular place to visit (just around the corner) and admire or buy some gifts. Special thanks again to Theekshana, we will be back!

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the pleasant and positive hotel staff and immediately checked in. The hotel is small and cozy. I would like to note the cleanliness - everything is shiny, the rooms are cleaned daily. the room has a full standard set: WiFi, safe, minibar, hair dryer, minimal set of dishes. You can ask the staff for everything you need. our reservation was with breakfast, it takes a long time to cook, but it's delicious! my personal recommendation is shakshuka and avocado toast. The breakfast menu is small, and I got a little tired by the end of the trip, but it seems to me that it's like this almost everywhere. excellent location, everything is close: the beach, shops, restrooms, and a currency exchange office

It was an absolute wonderful stay in your house. The breakfast was increadible, fresh juice every morning, fried eggs and lovely bread and a beautiful plate of wonderful fruits. We stayed for 6 nights at plantation house and loved this hotel. It was a wonderful place to relax after a few weeks travelling around Sri lanka. Peter was a brilliant host and we loved the beautiful breakfasts on the terrace. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean as are the grounds and lovely swimming pool. It’s in a lovely peaceful location, an easy 10 minute walk to the beach/ small supermarket and main road or easy to arrange a tuk tuk further into Hikkaduwa town. We had a great time and highly recommend!

Great location, nice staff, great food in Why not cafe, large and clean rooms makes the place perfect to stay in. Although the hotel is integrated into the central and most loudly part of Hikkaduwa, it’s quiet inside the room. Ajith is always around and ready to help or just for a small talk. This was my second time in Mountain Wave and I’m in love with the place and people.
