I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel, The Cottage Negombo, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone seeking a relaxing and scenic getaway. The location itself is breathtaking, with the property nestled along the Hamilton Canal. The cottages are absolutely delightful—cozy, clean, and beautifully designed. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Whether you’re staying for a few days or longer, these cottages offer the perfect balance of comfort and charm. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the kayak ride on the Hamilton Canal. The hotel offers kayaks for guests, and it was an amazing way to explore the tranquil waters. The staff were friendly and provided all the necessary instructions, making it easy for us to get out on the water and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, there are boat tours available, which offer a more leisurely way to take in the views of the lake and surrounding nature. Both options were incredible ways to experience the area up close. I’ll definitely be returning for another visit!

Everything about this property was amazing and well above my expectations. The service was nothing short of incredibly friendly and attentive. In particular, assistance with my luggage and thoughtfulness with regards to flexibility and late check out options was so appreciated. If you’re seeking a quality, yet economical property within close distance to the restaurants of Negombo and easy access to the airport, you simply couldn’t find a better choice than JMF. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Very nice accommodation with super friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool and good breakfast. Beach, restaurants and supermarket are all reachable within a short walk. We arrived in the middle of the night and the check in was no problem at all. The cats and dogs living there are not obtrusive - they're just being there minding their own business :D We loved to see how well they are being taken care of! We also booked a private driver to our next destination at the hotel which was by far the best offer.
