Everything: the room was big, new and super clean; the location was perfect, 10 minutes to the Wilpattu National Park entrance; superb staff, special mention to the fabulous bbq dinner they prepared and for arranging the safari jeep; in summary: we would gladly come back!

Owner gave us a nice birdwatching tour in the evening, they were always ready to bring us whatever we needed and when we came back they had fresh watermelon juice ready for us to enjoy. Besides that, the wife of the owner is an extremely good cook. To top things off, we even got the brand new room they had just finished. It also a great base of operations for day trips in to the fabulous Wilpattu park.

I believe this guest house is ideal for people doing a Wilpattu Safari: - it is located right next to the park entrance. - it is not luxurious, but who needs a luxurious hotel if you are going to spend the entire day on safari anyway? - the AC worked great, the bed slept well and it has an ensuite shower and toilet. - they were happy to supply lunch and breakfast for the safari, and prepare dinner as well. I ate very well there. - the hostess was very kind and happy to help with questions. - if you are lucky you may already spot some animals from your window! I saw a wild peacock and monkeys. But apparently elephants also sometimes roam through nearby fields.

Great location. Exceptional management and staff from a family run establishment. Warm and friendly reception. I was welcomed with a hug. Very tasty food. Amazing safari drive. We had an unforgettable stay at this charming guesthouse in Sri Lanka - the hospitality was beyond exceptional, and every detail felt so thoughtfully curated. A great place for anyone who wants to relax, recharge, and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and do everything to make you feel comfortable and at home. The local people are always smiling and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious — homemade, traditional, and cooked with love, just for you. The rooms are new, with a big, comfy bed, and there's hot water in the shower. In the mornings and evenings, it’s amazing to sit on the terrace, listen to the birds, and watch the monkeys. If you’re planning a trip to Wilpattu, make sure to stay at this resort! P.S. I’d say this is the best resort in the area.
