The location is the best of the worse for those who are doing the Pekoe trail. Stage 11-12. It offers a breathe-taking view of the valley below. The owners gave us such great hospitality. The room was clean it gave us a much needed respite from a long day of hiking. If you are taking the pekoe trail, there is a shortcut to the location which is slightly off track. It’s short but intense but could save you 30mins to an hour. I suggest that you take it. Dinner and breakfast was sooooo good. Really nice after a long day of hiking

That’s the best hostel we stayed in Sri Lanka 😊 They organised us a tuk tuk to go to Horton plains for a very reasonable price and you can also eat in the hostel, they serve a big buffet that it’s impossible to finish. The terrace is a nice place to chill and there is birds, lizards and monkeys around. They also very nice family with a friendly dog.

We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We stayed for 2 nights, and what made this place even more special is that we were their very first guests — what an honor! 🙏 The family running the villa is super friendly, warm, and caring. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. The clean fresh air, hot water, and beautiful surroundings made us feel like we were in heaven. We stayed with Meena Amma for three short days, and wished we had longer. Meena’s hospitality is note perfect, and her traditional Sri Lankan meals the best we have enjoyed in our time on the island. The setting of the two line rooms is stunning, from the beautiful sunrises to the peaceful evenings in the valley. Thank you Meena for your warmth, effort, care and culinary brilliance - we won’t forget it!

If you look for nature and serenity this is the perfect place to be. The host just was great and most helpful with tipps and any other whishes. He even cleaned our car, as he thought it was too dirty!!! The food just amazing including special whishes. If you want to be out of the main tourist places and find a really beautiful place - go there!

Almost everything.

Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

For a simple authentic experience with great management and service you should stay here. Food is cooked fresh and the manager is lovely. We stayed a night and had dinner, breakfast and lunch. Rooms are simple but with a hot shower and very quiet. The other hotels near charge a lot but seem to have less soul!

Nice hotel. Basic room, but the owners were really friendly and good. They made me a big dinner, arranged a Tuk Tuk to get to World’s End and gave me a packed lunch. Ohiya is also a nice location. Recommended if you’re there.
