beautiful location, very peaceful, lovely natural pool, river also runs by the property. The rooms were large and very comfortable,the ceiling fan worked very well,each room had it's own terrace with seating,my room even had a table and chairs to give me the option of eating there if I wanted to.The food was great, even enjoyed a BBQ with a lovely fire nearby, could be a lovely romantic evening had my husband traveled with me. Wonderful place for families or friends, there is a boat with paddles for hours of fun in the river. I spent four nights and it was very hard to leave such a beautiful place.

The villa is well laid out with all required facilities. It's clean and tidy. The owner was there to receive us and to handover the property. He is very plesent, friendly and corporative. We had full prevacy, comfort and all the freedom. The most liked pat was that the owner allowed our pet dog Labrador to stay with us. Our Labrador was the most enjoyed and thrilled out of all of us, as the dog enjoyed the garden freely by playing and jumping in to the pond in front of the property. The facilities are luxurious and entire property is equipped to satisfy our full expectations.

Such a unique beautiful calming location. The family who run the hideaway are all attentive, generous and go above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable stay. I was able to swim in the river each day and eat delicious home cooked meals 3 times a day. I had not planned to visit the rainforest or this area of Sri Lanka and I ended up pivoting to find some solace for my final three nights and I'm so glad I did. Thank you to the property owners for looking after me. I'd love to stay again when I return to Sri Lanka.

We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. We spent three weeks in Sri Lanka, and this stay will always remain the most special for so many reasons. Saman and Umesha, the husband-and-wife hosts, are truly exceptional. Saman guided us on incredible day and night rainforest safaris, with an astonishing ability to spot wildlife including snakes, lizards, scorpions, and owls while also sharing his deep knowledge of the trees, plants, and fauna. Their son was also wonderful and helped out with everything, which made our stay feel even more personal and welcoming. Umesha looked after us so warmly and attentively, preparing amazing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her kindness and happiness perfectly reflected the very best of Sri Lankan hospitality. The accommodation overlooks beautiful paddy fields, where we could relax on the balcony and watch kingfishers, monitor lizards, eagles, and water buffalo. One evening, Saman even showed us huge owls hunting late at night right in front of our place, an experience we will never forget. The rooms felt secure, clean, and comfortable, with everything we needed, including a hot shower. Saman also kindly took us in his tuk-tuk to a local tea factory, stopping along the way to visit a waterfall and shop in the nearby village. It truly made us feel part of the local community. We learnt so much during our stay and will always treasure these special days. An unforgettable experience in every way.

The location was perfect, direct at the entrance of the rainforest. Also, the room was beautiful with a high ceiling and great view of a tea plantation and a mountain covered with rain forest.

Our stay at The Wilds in Deniyaya was truly tranquil and peaceful, with the perfect setting right beside the Sinharaja Forest. Rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate for 5 people, and the food was delicious. The hosting family was warm and welcoming and the owner also guided our tour into Sinharaja forest. It was a great stay and very good value for money.

This place is absolutely amazing 👏 The hosts were wonderful, the rooms were spacious, and the food was delicious. We also went trekking with Hemal (our host), who showed incredible knowledge and passion for wildlife. We truly can’t praise this place enough.
