Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. Gayan was a fantastic host and he does so much for his guests, e.g. getting you to places close to his location and pick up again, a short evening lake tour, organize different things upon requests of guests, etc. all without additional costs. Highly recommended!

The owner gave us free cake, free lunch and a free tour around the lake to show us he’s culture and village. After travelling around many countries in Asia, this was the most kind and generous host we have ever encountered. We are very gratefull for this experience and hospitality!

We had an overall amazing experience here. The family who owns this place offers service beyond exceptional to make sure everything is okay. The food is exceptionally good. We had one of the best Sri Lankan curries I have had in my entire stay here. The room is large, spacious and the bed is comfortable. Everything is very clean and the A/C works really well. The mother of the family even sewed up one of my blouses for free. He helped us with our bus ride to Ella and stayed with us for an hour to make sure we got on the right bus.

The welcome by Mithi and her husband was warm and friendly. The bedroom was amply large enough to accommodate two women with big suitcases and it had plenty of towels and amenities. We loved the huge terrace overlooking the river. It was quiet at night and it was nice to have aircon and fan. It was all clean and modern. Although in a quiet spot it’s not far from a town if you need anything. Also the delicious passion fruit drink Mithi brought us was wonderful. The shower was nice and hot with good water pressure.
