I had an awesome stay ! If you are a nature lover, this place is for you! Even the access with the pick up is an nice adventure, and you can also easily access to the village by feet with a really nice and short walk. They have contact with a guide that is very nice and knows a lot about the rainforest and its animals. They organised 3 tours for me with him and I loved it !! Really one of the best experience I did in Sri Lanka ! The room is very clean, they are cooking food on the hotel. Enjoy the view and the peacefulness!

Very kind and welcoming people. Saman is an excellent guide and knows the forest very well. We saw a lot of animals including monkeys and rare snakes. His wife made us plenty of food and was always happy to assist us. And the view from the room is amazing.

Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!

The Location is very beautiful, situated in the jungle in a small village. The family was incredibly kind and made our stay feel like home. We had delicious homemade, traditional dinner and breakfast. The house is close to the entrance to Sinharaja Forest and they recommended us a great Guide who spotted lots of animals and showed us many ayurverdic healing plants. I can‘t recommend this place enough :)

The best thing is the family who owns this hotel/inn. They always thought about our needs and tried to accommodate as much as they can. The food wife made was really tasty! We stayed in Ravindra’s cabin for 5 nights. We had an amazing time. The cabin is clean and cute, very comfortable bed, hot shower. It’s in a super authentic Sri Lankan village, surrounded by tea plants, just next to a river with a natural swimming pool. Most of the time you have the river all to yourself, sometimes you get to meet the locals which is a nice experience. The food Ravindra serves is amazing!! You get to taste some delicious and authentic rice and curry. It was a chance to discover some vegetables and fruit that we never tried. It’s definitely worth to book a wildlife tour of the Sinharaja Rainforest, we saw snakes, lizards, spiders, scorpions and monkeys. The tea factory is also worth a visit. Night walk in the jungle with Ravindra was also fun! All in all, an amazing experience. Sri Lanka is a beautiful island, make the effort to get off the beaten track and you will be rewarded. And Ravindra is a super friendly host, meeting him was just lovely.
