Staff were very attentive and made sure to welcome you and make you feel settled. Room was very clean and kept to a high standard. Not much of a view from our balcony but we didn’t spend much time out there anyway. Choice for breakfast was Sri Lankan or more western but both were very good. I believe they are hoping to open up their kitchen for dinner service in the near future.

We stayed at this hotel in Kandy during the floods because it had a generator and reliable electricity. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Despite the difficult conditions outside, everything inside the hotel was running smoothly. The staff was very helpful and attentive, the room was comfortable, and we felt safe and well taken care of. Overall, it was a great experience, and we really appreciated the hotel’s preparedness and hospitality during an emergency. Highly recommended.

Since there was flooding, I was in communication and ask them to change the facility to some other on the south. There were amazing and quickly did it without any problem. We had amazing time at their chain hotel in Bentota - Taru Long house. I would definitely always pick up these hotels if I would go again to Sri Lanka

We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children that booked three rooms at Bellwood. I had initially booked the hotel for the stunning views it offers, unfortunately we stayed during a cyclone. Despite this we had an amazing stay at Bellwood and it has become one of my personal favourite hotels of our stay. The hotel is beautiful with lovely large bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were extremely fun and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is a an extra journey from Kandy but worth the extra travel for its quiet picturesque location. The journey to and from the hotel adds to the experience of visiting Sri Lanka

We had a very pleasant stay at Simpson’s. As usual in Sri Lanka the kindness of the staff is beyond anything. We had a great room with views of the mountains. The infinity pool is breathtaking. We also did one of the hikes that they offered in the morning and learned about the estate. The food does not look like the one advertised but it’s still good. This hotel has by far the fastest WiFi in all of the island. It’s great value for the price!
