It is a new hotel, a hidden gem with a great view in the middle of the city. The restaurant is not operative yet, but the manager was nice enough to provide us with vegetarian breakfast and dinner home cooked at the owner's house. The staff was helpful throughout the day and night whenever we had any problems. The rooms are very modern and very well laid our for comfort with a beautiful balcony with a great view.

Great place overall. Was met pleasenlty by hotel staff who took our luggage down to apartment. Sana is a great manager, took care of us on arrival, made us nice luch and dinner since we arrived that day tired and were in hotel whole day. Swimming pool is nice also.

The staff was caring and really listened. The showers were warm, and the view was perfect.we liked the fact that it was 2km away from downtown Kandy. The sri lankan breakfast was good as well. The pool looked good, but we didn't try it.

This is the most incredible hotel. The views are simply breathtaking and the hospitality of the staff is absolutely overwhelming. Mr Thilak, hotel manager, and his team took care of every detail during our 2 day stay with them. We were travelling with young children (age 3 & 6) and they were so accommodating and kind it was really heartwarming. Small things like our eldest mentioned how he wanted to try a King Coconut at some point during his stay in Sri Lanka, and the next morning at breakfast, the team had thoughtfully carved two for the kids, in the shape of a mouse, so they could try the refreshing coconut water. Mr Thilak also arranged for a short cooking class for us to make our own Hoppers for breakfast, it was a great and interactive experience- especially for the kids. The food menu was brilliant for families, which was something we were a little worried about hearing stories from friends, but here there was even a kids menu here and lots of things our boys enjoyed. Our stay happened to fall over International Women's Day, and I was stopped in the afternoon and presented with a rose and a small gift to celebrate the event. It was so thoughtful. The swimming pool at the hotel is amazing, with views from the pool, restaurant and lobby that will literally take your breath away. Surprise visits from the local monkeys were also fun! We had a driver for our trip and also took the chance to visit Kandy which took us about 1 hour... worth the trip to see some of the famous sights, though I must say we were happy to return to serenity of Greenacres after a full on day of busy city life. We were so sad when it came time to leave, and would truly reccomend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka to brave the jungle path to the hotel and absorb the beautiful setting, wonderful views and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Above all, the hotel has the most incredible staff with the closest attention to detail and we would truly like to thank them all for their fabulous service!

    Kandy is a very busy city!

    Kandy is a very busy city! We ended up having to spend 3 nights there due to trying to get a train booking to Kandy, however we felt that 1 night, max 2 would have been enough. You can get round all the main attractions in a day so you don't need to spend too much time. Don't book tickets through a third party as you are not guaranteed them (we were told the day before we didn't have tickets!) so just turn up early to the station and you'll get a ticket for the train - though no guarantee of a seat!

    We reached Kandy after completing tour of pinnawala and ambulawa towers. We also visited Mahabodhi Vihara , from where Kandy lake had a good view. The shopping market at Kandy closed by 7pm, may we missed that.

    Kandy has a UNESCO HERITAGE site worth visiting specially during Perihera festival. The general standards of hygiene and sanitation are not upto the mark. Keeping in view the footfall at Kandy the facilities for rest rooms almost completely absent. The tuk-tuk guys charge exorbitant from tourists for short distances and local administration and police have no control on them. There are no prepaid autos and taxis available. The pick me app for transport has no meaning when given rates are not charged.

    This was quite simply one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Srilanka. It is with only thirty rooms. but it doesn't feel small. It feels exclusive. Every guest is treated with respect and professionalism but also like family. The location is magnificent. You awake to see mountains with mist towards Kandy city. We swam in the pool at sunset.The food was superb and the service perfect. We wish we had booked to stay longer. It truly is one of Sri Lanka most beautiful gems.

    Probably the best hotel on our tour of Sri Lanka. The room was modern, clean, but also had some personality. The hotel is very close to the lake and centre, but also tucked enough away to get some peace and quiet from the noise of Kandy. The views were very pretty. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious.

    This was the best place we have stayed so far on our Sri Lanka trip. Vicki was very helpful and even drove us into town and told us how to avoid traffic when going to attractions. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It is walking distance to all the attractions in town but is quiet for sleeping.
