Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. It felt very luxurious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff were incredibly helpful and professional. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. We especially loved the balcony and the mezzanine level in the room, such a nice touch!

The view from the hotel is amazing. It's very nice to relax at the pool or the balcony of your room. The rooms itself are also great, they are spacious and look nice. The staff is very helpful and available all the time. It's a nice place to be away from the crowded city center and with a tuktuk you easily visit the center. When you walk for 15-20 minutes downhill you will find a supermarket, bakery and other different stores.

Very spacious rooms, we even had a big kitchen. The room was more of an apartment than a hotelroom. Internet was fast and stable - something lacking often in Sri Lanka hotels. Nice breakfast, and excellent help with getting us early to the trainstation.

Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do.

Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do. It’s the perfect central base for exploring nearby highlights like Nuwara Eliya and other major sightseeing spots. The famous Kandy–Ella train ride is a wonderful experience with stunning views. Kandy Lake is lovely for an evening walk, and the local markets — especially the Sunday market — are absolutely worth visiting. The Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth) is a must-see; try to go in the evening when it’s cooler and the atmosphere is even more peaceful. Overall, Kandy is a charming town that offers culture, scenery, and convenience all in one.

Our trip around Kandy was truly memorable!

Our trip around Kandy was truly memorable! We loved visiting the Temple of the Tooth, strolling around the peaceful lake, and exploring the vibrant local markets. The botanical gardens were stunning, and everything was easy to reach from the train station. Great food, kind people, and beautiful scenery all around.

People advised us to have 2 days in Kandy - we would have been fine with just one. The weather did not help us it rained on and off the entire time we were there. Temple of the Sacred Tooth - tick - walk around the Botanical gardens - tick - Shopping DISMAL - Kandyan dance performance extremely touristy. I wish we had allocated an extra day for the hill country instead of Kandy, Best meal we had was at the Hideaway Lounge. Central market - awful fresh food and spices but seriously hideous tourist souvenirs. Old building needs renovation.

Kandy is an interesting historic city, with a number of must...

Kandy is an interesting historic city, with a number of must see sights - the Temple of The tooth, a walk around the lake, the Big Buddha. Peradeniya Botanical Gardens are just on the edge of the city. The market is bustling. If you are there in late July/early August you may catch the Perahera Festival - a parade of dressed elephants, fire whirlers, Kandy Dancers, Drummers and whip crackers.

The city centre is very polluted but there is a lot to see and it is worth exploring. I highly recommend taking a tuk tuk tour to visit the sights. We had an adventurous day out with Explore Kandy with Sajith Tuk Tuk Tours.

Kandy is the hill capital of Sri Lanka with lots of historical facts and the place to see the Sri Lankan culture. Places to see the Dalada Maligawa the Buddist holy temple, Peradeniya botanical garden and many historical places related to the colonial era.

The owner of the hotel, all the staff and her family are so welcoming and kind! They helped me with everything I needed and shuttled me personally to the places I wanted to go, provided me with informations for my stay in Kandy and Sri Lanka. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable.I had nice and interesting conversations and everybody was so gentle and warm. Definitely a great hotel above the busy city of Kandy, with a great view and very obliging people:) loved it!

Amazing location within walking distance to the town and with amazing views over the lake. The staff were excellent, friendly and nothing too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the Sri Lankan curry was exceptional and good value too - prices generally match the standard of the hotel apart from the breakfast - see below. Loved the modern design and most importantly the bed was super comfortable.

It's a pity that we only had to spend 1 night in Kandy from our Sri Lankan trip. This is in my opinion one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka for a budget. The host of the service personnel is very attentive and friendly. The location is pick me tuk tuk will take you to the city center for 200 - 250 rupees which is very cheap. If I return to Kandy, I will come back here again.

The owner was friendly and helpful. He offered to order food from town for us and paid with his card to make it easier. He also got us tuk tuks for our city tour and we ended up with the best drivers ever! We had a mix up with the rooms but that was solved quickly too. The villa is in a quiet area of Kandy and you can watch wildlife from the balcony.
