Staff is really attentive and helpful. This makes for a really stress free vacation as we did not have to worry about a thing. Food was delicious and always prepared fresh. Beach was as epic as it gets, long and wide sandy strip. Pool was well taken care of and loungers were plenty to be found in shade and in sun. Rooms, although simple, were comfortable and cleaned daily. Location is good, quiet and relaxing.

Where do I start? From the second we arrived our host was there to help in every shape or form. Such an amazing family run accommodation,this once in a lifetime experience. We instantly extended our stay. Our Hobbit house was just fantastic in every way. Everything you need is inside. The bed!!!!! You could fit a small village on the bed 🤣. The bathroom was incredible, everything was supplied including, quality shampoos, conditioners, shower gels, lotions, hairdryer. By far the best accommodation we have stayed in on our 3 week journey of Sri Lanka. Our host even organised an early morning Kayak on the lake which is a 2 minute walk, which was less that 10euro for as long as you want. He also suggested the turtle sanctuary which is an easy walk to the beach. There we saw newly hatched turtles running into the sea, followed by numerous turtles laying there eggs, on a guided and strict tour. Overall PLEASE BOOK Igabara hobbit house, you definitely won't be disappointed xx

Absolutely Everything - the most amazing place with the most incredible staff. Kamal and his team are absolutely fantastic and we couldn't recommend this place highly enough - easily the best place we have ever stayed driven hugely by the fantastic staff! Exceptional place to stay! Immaculate rooms, incredible food and nature all around. Priyanthi and her small team of ladies looked after us so well during our stay that we were genuinely sad to leave. Their cooking was the best we have ever experienced and we loved the breakfast especially! We stayed in a large, brand new room that was HUGE and would be perfect for families, it was spotless like the other rooms and had a lovely view of the garden. Their kindness was so beautiful and Priyanthi helped us to organise a trip to see the turtles lay eggs and a lagoon kayak experience- both were really great and I would recommend to other travellers. Priyanthi’s place was like being on safari where every day we saw monkeys, water buffalo, amazing birds and wildlife just from the balcony! The walk to the beach is so beautiful where you can immerse yourself in nature. It is a very special place here, Priyanthi and her team work so hard to keep it this way and genuinely care about you and the environment. Thank you for everything, we can’t wait to return!
