Staff were amazing, able to offer a lot of help with hiring scooters and getting tuktuks. Breakfast was huge so come hungry. The hotel is very clean and very bright. Shower facilities and room facilities were amazing.

I arrived late at night without a reservation, because I ran away from my other accommodation. Suzanne and her husband took me in, gave me a drink and comforted me. I felt at ease and very comfortable. They are such nice people and then the accommodation is amazing as well, it really is like a little paradise, super calm, super clean. I will 100% go back there.

Location - the property was situated a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Hiriketiya Road, being quite central to the town and restaurants between Hiriketiya/Dikwalla. Cleanliness - the villa presented in a very tidy manner and I didn’t have any issues with critters etc. Facilities - the host ensured there was always plenty of water at the villa, the bathroom and bedroom were both spacious and the kitchen was convenient. I had no issues with mosquitoes during my stay so the room was well sealed. Air conditioning and a fan were fantastic. Host - very polite, readily available and able to assist with any query. Fantastic trip.

We absolutely loved our stay at Waves Hiri. The location is absolutely perfect with the beach right on the hotels doorstep. Lots of great restaurants close by, Malu Poke is right next door & made amazing cappuccinos which we started every day with. The staff were all incredibly friendly and were so sweet and welcoming. The rooms are huge and had an aircon and fan as well as a mini fridge. The sea view from the rooms is really special & it’s amazing to have a huge balcony to make use of. We also loved the beach themed bathroom, what a cute touch :) the hotel also rents surfboards if you need one and can assist with laundry & transport and anything else you may need. Just a heads up that no credit card facilities are available so cash payment is required.

The accommodation was terrific. Best shower ever with lots of hot water. It was situated just off the road so lovely and quiet but close to restaurants and the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property itself feels like a quaint resort inside a little jungle where you are surrounded by lush greenery. I was initially a bit scared about this and being surrounded by wildlife (especially since the bathrooms are outdoor) but Mr. Chamindar reassured me that the monkeys during the day were harmless and I actually felt pretty safe using the bathroom at night. The rooms have been renovated and are quite fresh. There was a party on Friday with loud music till 12 am but Mr. Chamindar warned me about this. Everything is within walking distance from the property. But what I loved the most was the hospitality and Mr. Chamindar going above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. Since I was working from 9am-5 pm most days, he helped me organise my lunch (had his staff bring my lunch over); helped me reserve dinner at various restaurants and also helped organise a great tuk tuk rider who dropped and picked me up. After checking out, he also helped me store my luggage and even let me use one of the room bathrooms after I got back from the beach! I really had a relaxing and restful few days in Hiriketiya thanks to staying here and can’t wait to come back to Casa Vana!
