A fantastic place right by the ocean. The hotel staff, along with the hotel manager and the hotel's four-paw manager, made us feel right at home from the very moment our car pulled up to the entrance. The attention to detail was unprecedented, and the small touches everywhere continued to surprise us, even after a few days.

Amazing experience staying here. Every little detail is nicely thought out. Beautiful room and very clean. Great bed. Staff were kind and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Location is excellent. A little 5 min walk to main street and maybe 7-8 to the beach

Temptation was such a gorgeous hotel, the pictures don’t even do it justice. The rooms were so nice and the whole place was spotless with housekeeping every day. It’s in a great location too close to everything. Would highly recommend and it’s very reasonable for what you get 😃

Absolutely everything was perfect. Peter is an amazing host. Always in good mood, helpful and has a smile for everyone. We absolutely loved our stay at plantation house. The rooms are huge and very clean. Service is absolutely gorgeous and the people are lovely. The pool is very refreshing and breakfast was our favorite meal. We will definitely come back and stay there again. This is one of the best places we ever stayed and hey after 2 round the world trips this is a really great compliment. Thank you again Peter for everything.

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with...

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with friendly and helpful local people. The weather is cool even though we had some rain, but we stayed at the villa on the balcony watching people fishing kayaking and canoeing down the River. The beach area has some unique fresh seafood restaurants, surfing, snorkeling and you can even rent out glass-bottomed boat to see underwater world. There is also a Turtle Hatchery here and Tsunami museum for tourists. Beach is very clean.

Selection of accommodation options are many to suit your budget. Most of the properties are on the beach and with great ocean front views. You can enjoy variety of cuisines in many restaurants located close by.

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

After traveling through Sri Lanka for almost two and a half weeks, the Hikkaduwa Riff was our last stop to relax a bit before our flight back. For this it was the perfect place: The entire staff was super nice, courteous and also mentioned criticism regarding the breakfast we could not understand. The resort is really nice, the rooms including sea view were great and also the Japanese Rooftop Restaurant we can highly recommend. Who is looking for a nice and well organized hotel in Sri Lanka will not be disappointed here.

The Best hotel in Sri Lanka. Quiet, 10 minute walking from hikkaduwa center, with great wide beach and 0 tourist (in city center lots of russians, always loud and drunk). In hotel only 5 Rooms, so very small, quiet and relaxed place. Nice food, great view, very helpfull Staff. Large Rooms, with great beds, very clean. We will be back for sure!
