Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our stay at the Dormero Hotel in Sri Lanka was nothing short of amazing! The staff here is truly the best we have ever encountered – attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with a fantastic ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Without even asking, they graciously upgraded our room because there was availability – such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more special. Breakfast was an absolute highlight – delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. The top manager deserves special recognition for being incredibly kind, approachable, and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you, Dormero Hotel, for creating such unforgettable memories for us. The property is in the centre of the city and serves amazing food. The staff is super friendly and polite. The best part is the view from the room and the crowd you find. So peaceful. It's a must visit and must stay in a boutique property to stay in. Glad we made this choice. .

This is the hotel we liked the most during our stay in Sri Lanka. It’s situated next to the lagoon. The room is spacious, bed comfortable, delicious breakfast & very kind and friendly staff. The river safari is also agréable, we’ve seen different animals. If we come back to Sri Lanka, here is the place we want to stay again.

It was an absolute wonderful stay in your house. The breakfast was increadible, fresh juice every morning, fried eggs and lovely bread and a beautiful plate of wonderful fruits. The rooms were big and very confortable. The staff was very friendly If we come back to SL we will surely stay in Villa Kaya again

The Japanese restaurant had great food esp fried rice & tuna sashimi. The breakfast was so much choice, the rooms were all so beautiful in terms of layout , decor and view. The staff were kind enough to upgrade us when the air con did not work in the night. Then they offered us a late check out complimentary. Also our rate came with a free massage.

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

Excellent location , Great food & , above all , brilliant helpful staff But … In need of refurbish. The rooms - especially bathroom needs to be updated. The AC unit Very noisy , even on lowest setting.

Hikkaduwa is one of the best places to stay few days at the southeast coast of Sri Lanka. Very nice,clean beach with fine golden sand,many guest houses and hotels,restaurants. Easy to reach nearby historic Galle town by bus or train-ca 1/2hour, Bamian Buddha Statue/Tsunami museum in Peraliya or Seenigama Buddish/HinduTemple few hundred meters away.

After traveling through Sri Lanka for almost two and a half weeks, the Hikkaduwa Riff was our last stop to relax a bit before our flight back. For this it was the perfect place: The entire staff was super nice, courteous and also mentioned criticism regarding the breakfast we could not understand. The resort is really nice, the rooms including sea view were great and also the Japanese Rooftop Restaurant we can highly recommend. Who is looking for a nice and well organized hotel in Sri Lanka will not be disappointed here.

The Best hotel in Sri Lanka. Quiet, 10 minute walking from hikkaduwa center, with great wide beach and 0 tourist (in city center lots of russians, always loud and drunk). In hotel only 5 Rooms, so very small, quiet and relaxed place. Nice food, great view, very helpfull Staff. Large Rooms, with great beds, very clean. We will be back for sure!

Very welcoming hotel with plenty of choice for breakfast, freshly cooked and prepared for us. Great location to Hikkaduwa and beach. The family rooms were so spacious on their beautiful large roof terrace. Ideal for our family for 5 nights in April. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem! The best place if you are looking for a hotel to enjoy the beautiful Hikkaduwa beach. The pool right next to the beach is great! Rooms are good, worth for the money you pay! Food is also nice. Staff were helpful.
