The facilities, the staff, but best part about this one is the location, being in the heart of the nature, hearing the sound of the birds, and all the animals, amazing one. All the staff was there ready to help with all our request, recommend for sure. Great breakfast, guys from the staff were always there to cook it fresh for you.

The hosts went above and beyond and were very welcoming. The Mango Garde tree house was well built and sturdy with a natural, tropical feel but with all the comforts - clean and tidy also! The location is 15-20 minutes walk from habarana Town centre so close enough to everything but far away enough to be peaceful, the perfect mix. Everything was perfect, wouldn't change a thing, our best night in sri lanka

A Peaceful Retreat in Nature – Highly Recommended! My girlfriend and I had an incredible stay at Elephant Fence Habarana Villa. The serene atmosphere and stunning natural surroundings made it the perfect getaway. The villa itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They helped us plan activities in the area, and their knowledge of the local wildlife and culture was impressive. The location is ideal—close to the attractions of Habarana, yet peaceful and private. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying our morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the lush greenery. If you’re looking for a relaxing and memorable escape, I can recommend this place.

Our stay at Woodland Sanctuary was simply magical. The two-story wooden room was beautifully designed, offering both comfort and a rustic charm that made us feel connected to nature. The bathroom, finished with natural stones felt like a luxurious spa. Dudley and his son Maleesha were incredible hosts, always going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The breakfast was delightful, featuring fresh Sri Lankan dishes and fruits. The pool was large and refreshing, surrounded by a lush garden with breathtaking views. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

We stayed in the Hotel Sundown Lake for two nights and we absolutely loved it. The service is very personalized and the hosts are very lovely people. Also the location is really nice. The rooms are super clean and the bathroom is outstanding. We had a variety of home cooked meals every night - the best food we had on our Sri Lanka Trip. We can recommend this place to 100% and like to say thank you for the well hosts and this amazing Hotel.

It was a great experience at Sky forest. Loved everything about the stay. It's amazing how the architecture of the cabanas and tree house blends with nature seamlessly. The caretaker is friendly and professional. Attentive to our needs immediately. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Clean and spacious washroom. The food was great. Kumara and his wife took really good care of us. Their place really is hidden in a lovely garden, with a nice pattio and hammocks under palm trees. The most special thing about this place is the food: it is organic and local (from the garden or the neighbours). Everyday you can try something else. The hosts offer cooking classes in a traditional mud hut. Additionaly Kumara showed us a lot of places: Rigitale Mountain, Sigiriya, Dambulla, but also some batik, jewelry and spice shops.

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants...

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants roam. Take a short drive to Ritigala and be amazed at the heritage site of a millenia old large forest monastery. Dine at the Ran Rasa restaurant for one of the best Chicken Koththus you will taste..

Beautiful jungle surrounds. Lots of activities. Safari doesn't tell you about all the extra costs involved. Entry fee big. Tip for animal spotter. The Harabana lake cruise is brilliant. No motor just a gentle paddle, allowing you get up close to wildlife

There are loads to do in Habarana.

There are loads to do in Habarana. Nice places to eat and drink. One unexpected pleasure was the village safari. You go for a ride on a old tractor, then a lovely boat ride across the lake. You are then shown the old traditional way of preparing and make food. Also shown other local crafts.

We went to this area and stayed at the Cinnamon Habarana...

We went to this area and stayed at the Cinnamon Habarana Village for 2 noghts. This gave us time to visit Pidirangula the rock opposite Sigiyeria Rock, Polonuwara ruins, Minneriya Safari parks and a couple of village tours to see how locaal live and eat. These village tours I would recommend as you get to try local curries made by the villagers which are authentic. Pidurangula is the same height as Lions Rock but a quarter of the price. The only thing you miss out on is seeing the ruins at the top of the ancient civilisation. Minneriya was fantastic. We did this as a last minute decision as we were advised there were more elephants here than in the Yala Safari park which we had already booked to visit in the south. We were so glad we did this as there were plenty of elephants to see and capture on camera. The ruins around this area are a plenty and definitely worth visiting as they are centuries old and date back to when Buddha came into the country. When visiting any ruins or temples men musat wear a sarong to cover their knees and women have to cover their shoulders and knees. Wearing t shirts and 3/4 linen trousers are ideal. We had a private tour guide with his car that we hired for an 8 day tour so he knew where to go, and came with us at each attraction. Would recommend touring Sri Lanka in this manner and using Madhu of Nesi Tours Srilanka. He is able to help with itineraries and pricing. We had a fabulous trip in this beautiful country with

I enjoyed my stay in this cottage so much that I decided to stay two nights more. Dilani is a very good host, checking regularly if you are OK. You can use the swimmingpool across the lane for free. But for $7 or LKR2000 you can also use the swimmingpool of the nearby walking distance Habarana Village hotel by Cinnamon. This is a large pool with comfy beds, mattress and big towel at the lakeside. The second twin cottage is now also operational. Dilani organised my taxi back to Colombo for a good price.

Great family (couple and their two sons) running this hotel. Totally friendly people. They were also helpful for organizing drivers and guides. Highlight at the hotel was the home-made dinner, which was made to order and fantastic. It was definitely the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. (For the dinner, you need to tell them a day in advance so they can prepare, since they are not a restaurant so they have to go out and get the ingredients to make everything fresh to order). Breakfast also great.

The hosts (Wanda and Leo) are super friendly and ensured that our Sri Lanka experience started really well. They were attentive to our travelling wishes, and they did not only organise several trips for us but they did also suggest travelling tips. The hotel and the rooms are clean and nice, and the hotel staff is also super friendly and can prepare a really good breakfast!

Visu Villa is the perfect accommodation for your stay in Habarana. The host of the hotel, Ruwan, is a super nice guy who can arrange 24/7 activities for you if you like. If you are not so much into activities you can relax by the pool or eat some delicious food at the hotel restaurant. All the staff are super nice and friendly. We would definitely stay again.
