The vibe that Galle fort shares during anytime of the day is marvelous. It is a super child friendly place with amazing shops and places at every corner. It has the ambience of a unique blend between antiquity and modernity filled with aesthetic taste of rich culture and art. Seems its potential is still untapped fully. We originally had one full day planned at Galle but we ended up being there for longer. We didn't need to be there any longer than one day. The walk around the Fort was lovely but there were not really many good shops to see and it was a little touristy in the Fort. Unfortunately they still let cars and motorbikes and Tuk Tuks in the street of the Fort which was difficult to navigate.
