A very nice accommodation located near Negombo. I would definitely recommend it to anyone either leaving Sri Lanka or just arriving. It’s a perfect transit point because the accommodation meets European standards – not only in terms of equipment, but also cleanliness, which is on a higher level than what is usually found in Sri Lanka. You won’t miss anything here – and at the same time, you can enjoy the authentic Sri Lankan atmosphere all around (nature, local life, traffic, and friendly people). The place is very clean, the garden and pool are always well-maintained, and everything works (air conditioning, TV, fans, fridge). It has a great location – close to the airport and just 5 minutes by Uber to the beach. The ride to the beach costs only 340 LKR (approximately 1 euro). The owners are truly kind people, and it's easy to communicate with them about anything. There are also two lovely, clean dogs and a cat on the property. The food here is excellent. For lunch and dinner, you can choose from about eight different meals, which change regularly. There is always a choice – from local Sri Lankan dishes (including fresh fish) to European-style meals, so everyone can find something they like. The owners buy fresh ingredients every day.

From the very beginning to the end we felt incredibly good. the food was delicious, the garden and pool were amazing, but the best part of the whole stay was the manager, the owner, and the entire staff. they treated us like princesses and we will remember this stay for a long time. this is how it should looks like, the best accommodation from the whole month-long trip to Sri Lanka!

We had an exceptional stay at Uga Riva. This hotel is top quality; a beautiful setting, extremely comfortable rooms, quality linnen, great bathrooms, fabulous food… We arrived drenched from the rain and the staff immediately made us feel comfortable with hot tea and towels. They were extremely helpful and kind, and really helped bring the quality of our stay to the next level. A special thank you goes to Lahiru, Kumara, Yasith and Upul: they deserve a raise!

Everything about this property was amazing and well above my expectations. The service was nothing short of incredibly friendly and attentive. In particular, assistance with my luggage and thoughtfulness with regards to flexibility and late check out options was so appreciated. If you’re seeking a quality, yet economical property within close distance to the restaurants of Negombo and easy access to the airport, you simply couldn’t find a better choice than JMF. Ms. Janet is very nice and helpful. It also makes a very good breakfast. The room and bathroom are clean, have air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. There is also hot water in the bathroom. It is quiet and good for relaxation. It also has a garden. We recommend staying here.

Phenomenal hotel to start our holiday in Sri Lanka. The hotel is very small (5 rooms only) and every room has its own pool. We stayed in the peacock villa which is the largest I think. More than enough room for our family of 4. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The floating breakfast option was so nice, definitely recommend that!
