Beautiful new boutique hotel on the very quiet Kalkudah Beach. A beautiful setting with gorgeous garden and sea views from every room. Spacious accommodation including a large room and bathroom, and many communal sitting areas. Each room also includes a private terrace or veranda with comfortable furniture. The staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, with a special mention to the chef Manoj who created beautifully presented, freshly cooked and most importantly delicious food. He catered each meal to our specific requests and dietary needs. It is a wonderful property to stay and relax. It’s worth noting that there’s nothing to walk out to and the town is a bit of a distance, but you will have a lovely time staying and relaxing at this hotel. The beach itself is stunning, the water is calm, clean and warm and its is fringed by palms. Paradise

Wonderful experience here. The host was very supportive and kind. He helped me locate a bicycle and personally drove me to the bus station in the early morning. The place is near a great cafe/restaurant and a luxury hotel is close by with a pool you can use. Top spot!

Here for 3 nights but loved it so much, we came back for another 3! Beautiful location by the lagoon. Excellent restaurant with friendly, professional staff and tasty food of good sized portions. Recommend the chicken biriyani! The pool was great and kept our kids entertained for hours. Overall just great customer care especially by Adhil the Resort Manager who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. So if you need a relaxing break, highly recommend Rivera Resort!! 👌

The great customer service at this hotel impressed me. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. Spotlessly clean rooms with comfortable beds and Amazing location, close to all the main attractions. Delicious foods with a great variety. A hidden gem in Passikudah – absolutely recommended! The Dream Inn Guesthouse truly surprised us in the best possible way. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly attentive, warm, and welcoming. We stayed in the spacious garden villa, which offered more than enough room for the three of us—our 9-year-old son even had his own bed. The room was spotlessly clean, air-conditioned, and equipped with a top-quality mattress that gave us two very restful nights. One of the highlights was the semi-open bathroom, beautifully integrated into the natural surroundings—functional, charming, and impeccably clean. We especially loved the peaceful little garden terrace, which opened up into a lovingly maintained garden and offered the perfect spot to relax. The location is also ideal—just a short 2 to 5-minute walk from several stunning and quiet beaches. Breakfast was another highlight. We chose the local Sri Lankan option each morning and were blown away by how delicious and authentic it was. In summary: a friendly host, excellent comfort and cleanliness, beautiful natural surroundings, and amazing local food. We only stayed for two nights this time, but we will definitely come back—and stay longer next time! Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay here at Adi Residences. The Sri Lankan hospitality shown by the care takers, the kindest Aunty and Uncle, was incredible. From preparing us delicious cups of tea, to suggestions on where to eat and sharing some tasty home cooked food, it was like staying at a 'home away from home' throughout our travels. The apartments are new, comfortable and are equipped with everything you need and if something isn't there, rest assured uncle will be organising it for you in a matter of minutes. Thank you so much for having us, we loved spending time with you as we explored Batticaloa 😊

The villa is newly built. It is sparkling clean, the service is extremely good. In the kitchenette there is an air fryer, small electric stove and microwave. The host is attentive and helpful and speaks great English. Beautiful backyard to layback. We will definitely come back here if we are around. Mind that location is a bit off site but this was not a problem for us as we had a car.

Juda is a very friendly and welcoming host. Beach is walking distance and the dinner recommendation was great and walkable. Wifi was super fast and the room was clean. We only stayed for a stopover night, but could really imagine that it'd be worth spending a couple of days in Batticaloa with Juda. Value for money is fantastic.

Batticaloa is very good city, peaceful, less traffic, sort of more rural touch as compared to Colombo. People are also very cooperative and helpful in all ways. Its a small town. The beach is also very neat and clean. There are many local restaurants and hotel. We can find good food there.

Batticaloa was warm and humid, but that is more than made up for by its breathtaking beauty and abundant seafood. The town is exceptionally clean, surrounded by water, and radiates a serene charm. Pasikudah, in particular, took our breath away. With its pristine beaches and tranquil waters, it’s nothing short of amazing—a true gem on the eastern coast.
