Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

The best part of this property apart from its beautiful location is the wonderful manager Mr.Danushka. He literally does all the work here and is absolutely efficient and so hospitable. We would totally go back to stay here with family, because we know he’d take care of every single thing.

Everything was amazing. We can’t think of a single thing that wasn’t perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Upul. He was so kind, and helped us with everything we needed. Such a great place, the sweetest family and Randy has so much love for his community, the animals and his garden. We loved staying here, and hope we will be back someday. The rooms are huge, spacious, bright and new, and so is the bathroom. The garden is so cute and a great place to relax. Randy took us on a biking trip where we saw birds, animals, plants, trees and a stuba/tempel, he has so much knowledge and gives so much to his guests. Before we left we had a tour in their fruit garden, that was so interesting. Thank you so much Randy and family. You are the best.

The couple that run Lavender Home Yala Safari are absolutely lovely and really welcoming. We stayed 2 nights in the family room and it was spacious and clean. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, especially the Devilled Prawns. Their laundry service was quick. They also helped us organise our Yala safari with one of their regular drivers and he was great. We got very lucky and spotted a leopard up close as it crossed the road.

Very nice and comfortable stay. It is like a resort because the stay has a big yard with pool, sun beds + restaurant/bar. At restaurant they have a lot of options to eat and also for the drinks. We had the best food in Sri Lanka here. And the owner also offers you options for Safari tours.

By far the best hotel out of 7 that we stayed at during our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka. The staff were great, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the food is sublime and the driver who took us on safari was very acommodating and good at his job.
