We had such a great time and highly recommend Amaroo. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was welcoming and polite. Amaroo is right by a surf spot and we enjoyed a surf lesson with skilled instructors - our surfing improved after just one lesson.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff was amazing, helpful, kind and caring. The room was the most beautiful and comfortable room we’ve slept in during our entire stay in Sri Lanka. The location was just as great. At walking distance from the beach, but far enough from the main road to have some peace and quiet. We also loved the breakfast.

Our stay at Riff Hikkaduwa was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by warm hospitality and impeccable service. The hotel’s location is perfect—right on a beautiful beach with stunning ocean views. The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, ensuring maximum comfort. The food at the restaurant was simply amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The live music in the evenings created a wonderful atmosphere, making every dinner a special experience. A highlight of our stay was the unique opportunity to release newborn turtles into the ocean—a truly magical and memorable moment. Thank you to the entire team at Riff Hikkaduwa for making our last stop in Sri Lanka so special.
