The owner of Amansara Bungalow was extremely helpful and courteous. The Bungalow itself is at a great location with phenomenal views....and equipped with everything possible. Lastly, the Butler Gunasekara is an absolute asset and a gem of a person who is also a great cook.

Very cute small designed hotel! Great location right on the tea plantation with fantastic view from the panoramic windows of the restaurant. Fantastic British design of the hotel - all hotel looks very modern and new. Fireplace in the room. Lovely atmosphere. Very friendly and welcomed stuff. Good and tasty restaurant. Amazing breakfast. We highly recommend it to all people visiting tea plantations near Nuwara Eliya and who is going to experience the train to Ella (railway station Nanuoya is located 10 min by car from the hotel).

The room cleanliness and the bed comfort with clean sheets. All rooms have balconies with sitting area and mountains view. All rooms have a private bathroom and shower with water heater. The gentleman and his wife working there were very kind and helpful and will facilitate your stay. The food portions they served are enough for at least 2 people. The morning herbal soup is refreshing, and the dhal curry is the tasties I've ever had. Mostly, I enjoyed the view of the mountains and the tea gardens with the birds chirping in the morning. No room has AC, but you can always open the balconies doors and let the cold, fresh breeze circulate in. Temperature at night reaches 15 deg C.

From the beginning we were met with kindness and warmth, the host brought us home made cup of black tea, fruits and teacake, it was delicious. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. No mosquitos and other unwelcome living creatures. If you wish family provides Sri lankan homade dinner and breakfast for a reasonable price. Dinner and breakfast was served with a lot of love, it was the best rice and curry from our trip in Sri Lanka. Location is surrounded by mountains and 12 min walk to waterfall and 10 min by walk to the train station from there you can easily reach Ella or Kandy-Colombo. The host family is really friendly and helpful. Wifi conection was good.

The homestay owner was incredibly helpful—when he found out I had lost my wallet on the bus, he accompanied me to search for it and report it to the police. From the rooftop of the homestay, you can watch trains departing from the station. The breakfast served is a traditional Sri Lankan meal—very hearty and authentic.

What an amazing stay! The view is incredible, the cabin is like a dream. We are in the teas fields, near a river. You can fall asleep listening to the river. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious!! 🤤 Just so you know: it’s 20 min walk from the train station (2 min by tuk-tuk). At the end it’s 5 min like a hike path. We didn’t care, actually enjoyed it.
