FAQs about hotels in Beirut

Cosmopolitan City with Fantastic Atmosphere

Once called a “Paris of the Middle East”, Beirut is the Lebanese capital set alongside the Mediterranean seashore and flanked by the Lebanese Mountains. Severely destroyed during the Civil War, the city underwent major reconstruction and is now a vibrant place full of nightlife and shopping venues.

Beirut is often considered by many major media outlets to be one of the top cities in the world due to its cosmopolitan nature and commercial development. See it for yourself on Rue Verdun, the trendiest shopping area or the Central District, the city’s historical core, full of modern structures, dining venues and open public spaces.

Stroll down the tourists’ favourite, Hamra Street, featuring plenty of boutique shops, popular cafés and restaurants. Beirut is sometimes called the “Party Capital of the Arab World” so while you’re at it, dance the night off at the clubs at Rue Monnot.

For a bit of history mixed with upbeat nightlife, pay a visit to Achrafieh, one of the city’s oldest and most charming districts. Since Beirut has over 5,000 years of history, a visit to its National Museum and Archaeological Museum is a real treat.

Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport is only a 10-minute drive from the city centre and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels and apartments in Achrafieh and Hamra for your perfect Beirut stay.

Beirut is a resilient city and the shining face of the Middle East and Arabic-speaking nations. The people are full of life and hope. Sexual freedom, smiles, life, liberty, beauty, and history are all present in this city. I wish I could see the rest of the world smiling like this city is smiling in the face of misery and wars. words break when it comes to painting the face of Beirut. Yet, it is not just a pleasure; it is life showing itself as resilient and smiling. The Flower of the Middle East that is always blossoming.

Beirut is a beautiful and lively city full of history, good food, and friendly people. Our family really enjoyed walking along the Corniche and visiting the cafés and shops around Hamra Street. The atmosphere was welcoming and safe, and the people were always kind and helpful. We ate at several nearby restaurants, including Crepaway and Barbar, both offering delicious Lebanese dishes at good prices. Getting around Beirut was easy — taxis are available everywhere, and most places are close to each other. For families with young children, the seaside promenade and nearby parks are great for evening walks. We also enjoyed short trips to Raouche Rock and the marina area. The only downside is the traffic during rush hours, but it’s manageable. Overall, Beirut is a city full of charm, energy, and warmth — we would happily return again.

Beirut is a great city to visit.

Beirut is a great city to visit. Exciting nightlife, friendly people, lots of yummy food, cool events happening regularly. You will need a car to get around, but there is a new public transportation system (buses) with an easy-to-use app.

I’ve been in Beirut for 6 weeks!

I’ve been in Beirut for 6 weeks! Don’t stay for long in Hamra or at Corniche. Get a hotel for a few nights just for the beach or pools and the view. But go and stay at the area Gemmayze or Ashrafieh. Hamra is just dirty and touristic!

My Beirut is slowly recovering, and this trip felt so much better than when we visited two years ago. The country feels more stable, and you can sense a beautiful energy of resilience and hope in the air. The Lebanese people, as always, remain incredibly warm, welcoming, and excited to work, carrying their unmatched hospitality with pride. The bars, restaurants, and food are still on another level .. truly better than anywhere else in the world. In every corner, you feel the culture, the heritage, and the heartbeat of a city that refuses to lose its magic.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. This was my second stay at the hotel within the same trip to Beirut, and it was genuinely flawless! I especially appreciated being allowed a late checkout at 3pm. Karim and Jana at the reception were very friendly, accommodating and helpful with providing tips. The hotel is perfectly situated centrally, within walking distance from most amenities in Hamra. I’ll certainly stay here again.

This was my third time staying at Casa D’or Hotel, and once again it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything you need. The location in Hamra is excellent, close to everything and very convenient for getting around Beirut.

The hotel location was excellent, just a short walk from the food street and downtown. The room was comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate 2 people at its best. Breakfast was good, with a few selections that still offered enough variety to satisfy one needs. The breakfast staff were exceptionally kind and courteous.
