It is one of the best places in South-East Asia we have ever stayed! It is very peaceful and ideal for rest. The room is very stylish and spacious, and the furniture the villa's owner made is gorgeous. The garden with comfortable chairs, hammocks, and swings is so cozy. The owners are very helpful and friendly. In Kampot, there is no need to stay in the city center - staying at this villa and traveling by bicycle, motorbike, or tuk-tuk is a much better idea. A lovely wooden restaurant on the villa's territory was built by his owner. In this restaurant, his wife cooks. All the dishes were delicious! We enjoyed every minute at this villa and hope to come back)

great size room. it’s about a 15minute walk into the town which was fine for us as it’s nice and quiet, there are also street lights down the road. the owner helped us hired a bike and order us tuktuk when needed

We are so happy we picked this place! Only good things to report :) Very comfortable, with lovely (& large) rooms located on 2 floors around a nice swimming pool. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the centre/river (by scooter or tuktuk). But as it is out of the hustle of the town, you can hear birds and the wind in the palm trees from your window. A great place to settle and relax. We stayed 2 weeks altogether across various reservations and I do recommend spending more than a couple of nights, as there is plenty to do around (mountain, sea, river, sports, dining, pepper plantation, lake, markets, etc) and still have time to relax by the pool. We did not have time to get bored. The bed is good (neither too hard nor to soft), as are pillows. Room service is very thorough. Breakfast is good, with a variation between a-la-carte and buffet days. It can get a bit repetitive over a long stay like ours and is not especially vegetarian or vegan friendly if you don’t ask for it. But they will cater for you upon request and are looking into improving their vegetarian offer. The swimming pool is large and very clean, and long enough for laps. Best of all is the staff, including receptionist Som Moniroth, who are always doing their best to help with any situation and resolve everyday issues promptly. Overall, Hillocks is great value for money and we will definitely come back if in Kampot again.

Wonderfull place. Ambience is fantastic, nature environment is relaxing and beautiful, the staff is very friendly and ready to do everything to make you stay comfortable. Great boutique hotel on the outskirts of town. The couple who run the place are super helpful and friendly. They organised motorbikes hire and recommended places to visit. There is a group of six rooms that share the main pool area with plenty of sun loungers, tables and a small bar too. We stayed in one of the two rooms that are slightly separate from the main area. These two rooms share a plunge pool and outdoor kitchen area, with lots of pits, pans, utensils, BBQ and even BBQ coal. The rooms are super modern, clean and fresh. Loads of hot water and great linen. The location is rural but close enough to the main city centre. It's easy to get a ride into town using the Grab app, takes around ten minutes and costs about $1.50. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with Stephan and Julie and wish them the best with their new business and hard work
