This is a rough town, isolated from the rest of Cambodia by a long potholed road. The supply chain to Thailand is short and then the better infrastructure is available. There are good hotels and some excellent restaurants, which you must pay for. It was the rainy season the streets were we and muddy, the dogs are mouthy and the street lights exist but are unlit. Its four hours of hell to State highway 3. Dont believe google maps a road on the map is reportedly a red laterite mud slide for the whole journey. Take highwy 48 only.

Nice huts and friendly staff, good burgers! The view from the hut is really nice and can watch the ocean. We were only staying for one night before a ferry to Koh Rong Sanloem the next day, and it was very fit for this purpose. The ocean comes right up to the front of hut when the tide is in which was cool! The plug in fairy lights in the room were a lovely touch. The staff can also help you arrange trips to nearby islands and trekking routes, which seems very helpful!

It's excellent for the price. Large and practical room. Hot water shower. Toiletries and toilet paper supplied. Table and chairs outside the room. Nice swimming pool. Friendly English speaking staff. I really liked that they put a mosquito coil outside the room in the evening. Excellent location in an area with many guest houses and restaurants.

The actual accommodation is fine but we did both get food poisoning on the 1st day here which ruined our plans for the following day as my daughter could barely leave the room. Maybe don't eat at the restaurant. Overpriced compared to other local fair and obviously a bit risky if you wanna enjoy your time in koh Kong.
