We didn't realise before arriving but there was a hoast and chef at our disposal. Had we realised we would have made more use of their excellent services. Location is excellent for exploring Ngare Ndare forest. Also great views of Mount Kenya if the clouds allow.

Mukima is a sanctuary. From the beginning till the end the house and surroundings felt like a warm blanket. The house is absolutely stunning, even better than on the pictures. The garden and land around is too good to describe. If I could play the sound of the birds, the subtle breeze through the trees and show the colours of the birds but it has to be experienced. The food is AMAZING!!! So fresh, so simple yet surprising… the food I wish I made for myself every day. The massages were mind-blowing. I slept like a rock each night. My fav things are the soul and love you feel in everything and everyone, the old charm of the house, the refreshing pool and the view on Mount Kenya and on the lake. I recommend going to Ol Pejeta on safari for a day and doing yoga and meditation at sunrise! I go home feeling refreshed from head to toe and body to soul.

Tucked away just 300m off the main road is a lovely inn with attentive staff, comfortable rooms, great showers, cold beers, good food and substantial fresh breakfasts. It is quiet and tranquil. We were well looked after and the team of Kevin, Lilian and Frieda went the extra mile - an umbrella escort from our car when we arrived in the rain, fire lit in the dining room even though we were the only diners at the time and our car was washed the morning we checked out.

The location was great to visit Nanyuki, mount Kenya and Ol Pejeta conservancy. Walking distance from the railway station, which is very convenient if you take the scenic train to or from Nairobi. The Hotel is new and a few non important features are not yet completed but it is already very charming and comfortable. They let us to choose among 3 rooms which was very nice. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The breakfast is really good! They also helped with organizing any activity.
