Trust me, this place is everything you need. Everything here is in harmony with nature. The houses, the pool, the meditation circle, everything seems to be integrated into nature and belongs exactly where it is. Eirik's stunning art makes this place even more special. It's the perfect place to relax, meditate, finding peace or just existing. The entire Kaya family is very welcoming and makes sure you have everything you need. The food is excellent and always freshly prepared. They made sure that there was always a gluten-free alternative for me. Even in the mornings, there was delicious, gluten-free, homemade bread. You can tell that Lindsay and Eirik have put so much heart into this place. They create a space to connect with others (if you want to). The vibe is unique. We didn't feel like guests, but rather like part of a community. PS: the dogs are amazing. We wanted to steal one, but it didn’t work 😄

I had a truly amazing experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a great variety of options. One of the highlights of my trip was the special excursion to Shale Island – it was breathtaking and perfectly organized by the hotel. I loved all of it. A quiet and very relaxing resort with really friendly staff of Tino, Sammy, Millie, Rufus and all others who always makes you feel like a friend every day. I had a problem with getting a lot of mosquito bites so bring repellant!!! Apart for the mosquitoes everything was great 👍

A beautiful place. The house is beautiful, large, and superbly equipped. The host (George) took great care of us. He arranged boat transportation from Shimoni to the island and a tour of the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park (only our family, George, the captain, and the guide, were on the boat). He organized a walking tour of the island and village, which was fascinating. He can also arrange transportation to Mombasa at a very attractive price. George arranged home-cooked meals by a woman from the village, which were delicious. There are no cars on the island, and it maintains its quiet beauty, and one can walk around the area and meet some friendly people. The island's people have managed to preserve their heritage, and you can learn about their traditions, daily life, language, and traditional coastal seafood. A unique experience away from mass tourism. I highly recommend it.

Lovely views from the restaurant area over the water. This place is connected to a little centre doing research into protecting and restoring the coral reef. We met the post graduate students from around the world there, heading off to dive and gather data. Amazing place and people and lovely staff Lovely 20m pool. We are budget travellers so stayed in the fixed tents. Good to have a fan in there. Toilets and showers are simple and fine. Buy a little food at the local village or pay for meals in the eco retreat. But the beer is cold. We organised a snorkeling trip through the manager to the marine reserve. Stunningly beautiful.
