The good part was that the our room is a separate building, good quality in food, and onsen. The place is clean and nice, with full of Japanese onsen vibe. What I really like was the pace of food they prepare and serve. Never rush, or late, just good in a timely manner. And of course friendly staff.

This is THE best place in Yufuin. It was really easy to check in. Yes it's a bit further away from the city centre which makes it a bit more difficult to get to if you don't have a car (you can walk it or take a taxi up there) but it has the most epic view of the mountain. There are two onsens that everyone at the hotel can use, but they are effectively private as once you are in them you lock the door and you can have them to yourselves. The water is fantastic. Refreshing and makes you feel very relaxed. I would stay here at the drop of a hat again. Also make sure you walk up to Oogosha shrine (only 5 mins away) where you can get the experience of visiting a HUGE cedar tree temple and a bamboo forest that is 10x better than Arashiyama.

It was spacious, clean, well-equipped, comfortable and excellent value for money. The owner was very welcoming, hospitable and kind. It was great to have our own onsen which looked out to the unit's small Japanese garden. We slept on the futon section of the property and we had a good night's sleep. There was an option to sleep on a double bed in the other section of the property. We had a rental car and we had no problem getting to the property by typing in the phone number into the navigation system. We had a small car and the parking space was ok. We enjoyed our lovely stay there and would have loved to stay longer!

We loved our stay, the room was outstanding with an amazing view. The Chef was from a different planet, both the breakfast and dinner were exceptional and exceeded all expectations, a gem! Everything about this property was extremely exceptional, the greeting of the owner who spoke enough English to get by, it was the largest room in Japan we have come across, everything was provided , and we have been travelling for 3 weeks and the bed and pillows were like Heaven after so many hotel beds, have never experienced any bed or pillows like this. So thank you for the most wonderful stay. ❤️
