The staff were all very kind and very helpful. The traditional Japanese room was very charming, clean, comfortable and quiet. The town of Nakano was quaint, quiet nd very easy to walk around in. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the price was more than fair. I felt like I received way more value than what I paid.

We had an amazing stay at this place. The room was clean & comfortable. Aki was incredibly welcoming & very helpful, making us feel like a home away from home. The breakfast being served was wonderful. Dinner was superb! Highly recommend to opt for breakfast & dinner as the food served was really delicious & moreover, there ain't many restaurants around. Best host ever, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We will definitely be back...

Super easy to find, a short walk from the station. There were free pastries and drinks available on arrival. Later on, there seemed to be free alcoholic drinks and snacks available in the dining room. It was help yourself with no staff in sight...unless I misunderstood something?!? The hotel and room had a great view of the town and surrounding mountains and was easy to reach from both the snow monkey park and Nagano. The room was very large and futon beds were comfortable. We also tried the onsen, which was great and completely empty! We tried to gave dinner there but were told we had to have reserved ahead of time. Not sure how we would have done that.

Room size was really big and the hotel was located 5 minutes away from the ski resort. The staff was accommodating, very friendly, very polite and always happy to help.

I think I would have stayed a little longer (than 3 nights)...

I think I would have stayed a little longer (than 3 nights) to take advantage of the skiing and the onsen's (alternate between the two!), to relax for longer in the Japanese countryside. (I did not come to Japan to just check off the tourist sites...) The town has narrow streets to walk on, even without gps you cannot get lost as it is more or less parallel to the river, especially the more tourist section with all the onsens.
