Wonderful place to stay for a few nights away from the hustle and bustle of Osaka and Kyoto. Kinosaki Onsen is absolutely charming and beautiful, and I strongly recommend renting a bike to cycle up north to the Kinosaki Marine World; the views along the coastline are breathtaking.

    We enjoyed the small town.

We enjoyed the small town. It was quaint and quiet, but still had plenty to do. We visited many shops and restaurants at Kinosaki Onsen as well as visited a few of the onsen. I don't know where Toyooka stops and Kinosaki starts, so I am combining them as the say destination. We had a wonderful time!

Dinning options were limited especially if you have food allergies however the hotel did accommodate. Not many restaurant options in town as many close during the week. Very cute town and loved wearing the Yakuta around town. Sadly I didn’t try the public Onsens but the hotel had a private Onsen which was very nice to rent.

a great town to visit, so much more than just the tourist sites, the history there is rich and I found some pleasant walks in the hills also. Really great food options and of course the thermal waters of the Onsens! Probably best visited during the week and not in the peak months. Thursday most of the town shuts down, but the onsens do remain open.

Kinosaki-onsen is a lovely rural hot spring town with six delightful public baths. I also found at least two free public foot baths. To add to the relaxed and picturesque vibe, guests wear the yukata from their ryokan while strolling about. The entire town is walkable from one end to the other. The ropeway cable car is worth taking not only for the view from the top of the mountain but also for the ancient temple at the half-way stop.

I stayed in Kinosaki Onsen for two days (less with the travel) but with I stayed a day or two more. It's a quiet and quaint town, very charming and walkable. It's a place you go purely to relax, so if you're not down for that then 2 days is enough to check out most if not all of the hot springs. The food was great, and there's some lovely little shops.

Incredibly cosy and special Ryokan. The room was covered with tatami mats and offered a great and traditional atmosphere. The staff was fantastic and helpful. Location is a little outside of town, but with a useful shuttle service and relatively short walk, that is no problem. The onsite onsen with hot and cold plunge, sauna and pool was fantastic. Of all the onsens we tried in Kinosaki (we tried 3 others in town), the hotel one was our favorite.

The room size was fantastic for families and we really appreciated the shared spaces since we were traveling with friends. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the mountain, bakery for breakfast and the onsen. During our visit there was more snow on the neighboring mountains that we drove to. Overall highly recommend hotel due to the great location.

The experience of sleeping on futons was great and comfortable. The hotel onsen was included but the onsen fees had to be paid at the hotel. Very happy with the hotel and pleasant service. They given to us a QR pass for the other onsen. It also included a kimono and was a unique experience. It was amazing

The location, the staff (Fromela & Nara were exceptional helpful & friendly), the Kaiseki meals. The kimono provided by hotel & the free pass to use the public baths. The Manager who sent us to train station due to rain, thank you!
