The hotel is easy to locate. Room is big and comfortable for our family of 4. It is clean and well equipped. Good value for money. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was sufficient and satisfactory, not to mention delicious.

Great location next to the train station and close to local onsen. You can receive discounted price at reception if you are interested. Breakfast was simple but fresh and very tasty. Hostel is very pretty, traditional, wooden house and has great atmosphere. 2 common spaces could be used for relaxing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Castle ruins are close, around 20-30 minutes by walk, highly recommended to visit. There is also tourist Kyushu OLLE: Okubungo trail between train stations Bungo Taketa and Asaji. We didn't have time to visit, but looked interesting.

Superb service from the staff, especially Ms Yen and Ms Chabani Gopali and the chefs who made us two delicious dinners/breakfast the two nights we were there. Good onsen baths and good fun in the "walking" onsen and outdoor warm pools. Cabin was spacious and very comfortable. A big thank you for a very relaxing stay.

A really cool place to stay! All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Very responsive to messages and questions. The shuttle service was amazing and convenient as someone who travels by public transportation. There is so much to do at the lodge. They have saunas, you can swim in the river; there are also inflatable rafts, bikes, bathing suits, and BBQ equipment available for renting. If you are ever passing between Kumamoto and Oita, you should stop by!
