The hotel is very clean and the staff is helpful. We booked the room with garden view and we got to see the snow during winter. It was a very pleasant stay.

We booked the Suite with city view. Very nice spacious room with 3 beds. Beds are big, and comfy. The bathroom has a shower and a square bath. You almost feel you are in a 'spa'. Good tea and coffee pads. The hotel has only a few rooms with a beautiful cafe at the ground floor. You had to pick a breakfast time in advance so the table was reserved at Hid's Cafe & Bar, a popular place for hotel guests and others. Food was super healthy. Matcha Latte the best, coffee as well fabulous. Walking distance to the old town but also with some top restaurants in the street as well as izakayas near the train station.

The beds were comfortable and clean. The check-in (small tour, tea, explanation of the temple, 'introducing' selves for a safe stay, etc) was interesting and relaxing. The information about the history of the temple was very interesting. There were many different options for experiences unique to a temple (copying sutras, joining morning meditation, etc).
