Was an awesome stay! The Onsen bath was incredible, the room spacious and clean with everything I required, even plugs/cords for phone charging. Breakfast was amazing with an array of choices. They also have a small adjacent room where you can get free coffee and work on your computer. The only complaint was the location, but then I knew that before I went so not an issue. Easy access by car from Ueda station at a 30 minute drive or so. Oh an finally, the staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Thanks very much!

This is not my first stay overnight at this hotel and I would choose it again. They have added a coffee machine in the lobby with free hot coffee. There is also an ice dispenser next to it. It was delicious. There are also dispensers of alcoholic and soft drinks in the hall. (in the room there is tea and instant coffee) The reception is closed between 10 and 15 but I had to pick up my stored baggage at around 12, so they were kind enough to let me store the baggage at the nearby hotel of the same chain. I had no problem to walk from there to the station. I like the forniture arrangements in the room because the decent sized table is very suitable for working with my large laptop compared to other hotels, and the seat is comfortable too. In general, this hotel structure makes efficient use of small space. The personnel is open to satisfy to customers' request as much as possible, even in English language.

The ryokan is in a quiet, quaint town. Amenities are great, with the onsen and spacious classic Japanese style rooms. Dinner was fantastic and staff were very kind and helpful. Tyler and Mari were very accommodating. He picked up and dropped us off at the station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you very much Tyler and Mari-san!

I would highly recommend this place! The owner responded quickly, and the instructions—both before and during our stay—were very clear. The house was spotless. We were even welcomed with birthday presents for our little daughter, which was such a lovely surprise! Part of the accommodation used to be a sushi bar, which made the place feel extra special. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that the living area is separate from the sleeping area—you need to walk outside to get from one part of the building to the other.
