Takai the owner was sooooo helpful, it made all the difference to my stay in Matsumoto. I loved the book he made describing the different restaurants and what their specialities were. So much love and hard work have gone into making this place special. Takai was patient and answered all of my questions and went out of his way to help me. I am very grateful for his kindness and consideration. Lots of eating and drinking places are only a few minutes away as is the castle. It's also only about 15 minutes walk from the station so even with a suitcase I could walk here.

The offer of toiletries to take to the onsen, bikes to cycle round the city and free washing facilities made it such an easy place to stay without hidden extra costs. The kitchen was well kitted out. Staff and other travellers very friendly.

Amazing location. Right next to the station. Like a 200m walk. Hotel by itself is very spacious and has an insane bath. It also has a vending machine on the 2nd floor, as well as free massage chairs. The city by itself is also very charismatic. Anyone travelling JP - I highly recommend this place

Very friendly and professional staff. Excellent location just a few minutes to the train station with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was comfortable, quiet, and very clean. Many amenities included (such as slippers and pajamas). Excellent buffet for breakfast including salad, soup, yogurt, cereal, fish, meat, vegetables, and much more.

This is a great place to stay. Very convenient, 5/10 minutes walk to the bus terminal and train station. Walkable for nice restaurants and convenience store. Bike rental service available. Nice hot public bath. Smoking area available for smokers and leave the whole space clean:) Everything is sooo good.
