Had an absolute excellent stay at Ryokan Takimuraya. The elderly couple managing it were kind, attentive and hospitable. The room was big, clean and spacious, and the breakfast and dinner options were delicious! It is in a good location for travellers visting Karumai for the Haikyuu pilgrimage. Highly recommended and I would love to stay here again! : )

The onsen is really good. The views are nice from the room, and they gave us a 2000 yens voucher (we didn't have breakfast included) which we used for the shop. When they came to install the futons, it wasn't the right time for us, so I asked them to not do it now. When it was the right time, I went to reception to ask for it, I think the women who normally do it had finished their shift but two men from the reception came to the room and installed the 4 futons (you had to add the sheets.on the pillows and the blankets too). I didn't realise this wasn't their job until it was too late but I was very thankful they did it especially as the room was small for 4 futons and the tables and it required some tetris skills.

Beautiful setting and not far from Shinkansen station. Great escape from city life with the onsen and swimming pool. Lovely, friendly staff, while communication in English was challenging, with translation apps everything worked out. Breakfast was Japanese, which catered great to my taste and upon request, there is also a children breakfast set, that is more continental.

My stay here was Truly amazing. Stepping Through the door you get hit with a welcoming and extremely wholesome feeling. I got welcomed by Mayuko, the Incredibly kind owner, who you easily can have a fun and great conversation with. She taught me a little about the classic japanese dance and how to play shamisen, for both she has mastered (once you see the trophies you know). I got fed some incredibly delicious meals, and enough to feel completely stuffed. I was Incredibly lucky to be here with two other guests, who I shared some great laughs with. As a guesthouse comes , this is it in its finest sense. A great place where a feeling of openness and being welcomed, seeps through the air, and as you get to know the owner and other guests you get to share a wonderful time together. As I had to leave I found out the bus that I was planning on taking didn't run, Mayuko ended up driving me. I caught my bus in the nick of time, with her being the hero of the day. Thank you for everything!

I think this might be the best place I've stayed in Japan. Log burning fire, hosts that bend over backwards to welcome you and they picked me up and dropped me off from Oja station. Brilliant pre stay communication. Excellent facilities.

This was my second time staying with Dormy Inn at Hachinohe. The reason for me to visit Hachinohe is mostly due to my great experience with dormy Inn. I enjoyed their onsen and the chill corner outside of the onsen. On top of that, they have free apple juice, snack and soba served everyday. The room is spacious and there is a live status of the crowds for the Onsen, washing machines and dryers. The staffs are friendly and helpful too.
