I arrived late by cycling around 7pm. The road it self was quite dark with no street light. Meaning location wise if u are going to check-in late, better mindful to reach early. It was kind enough that the staff willing to wait for me. He was super friendly and I had a good time.

We went biking and stopped for the night here,about half way. Good location,directly next to the biking path,few biking minutes to the next store. Nicely modernised old house with charm,not too many room so it was a nice atmosphere amongst the guests. Our room was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped and there was a free washing machine and dryer.Staff speak little English but are very well prepared (written explanation cards) and super friendly! Thanks a lot! Totally recommend!

An authentic home restored beautifully by Dani and Evan! The touches of original furniture and vintage furnishings really set this house apart from anywhere else I have stayed in Japan. Dani and Evan were so welcoming and gave us great recommendations for local activities and restaurants. A perfect stop half way along the Shimanami Kaido Cycle Route. This was one of the best accommodations we've ever stayed in. We stayed overnight as a halfway point for our riding of the Shimanami Kaido. Everything was clean and clearly labelled. The futons were the most comfortable we've stayed on. The bath was also great. The towels were soft and fluffy. There was a washer and drier which was very convenient. There was even a first aid kit which was very useful as one of our members had an injury. We didn't have a dog, nut there were so many extra facilities for digs including a grooming station. There was even Netflix on the TV. It was a remote location, but we prepared beforehand by buying food and heating it up at the house. There's a BBQ you can rent if you let the host know beforehand. The host also owns a nearby popular lemon themed store called Limone. It's a lovely store which we would highly recommend stopping by. Owner surprised us with a box of puppies in the store which she had saved from being slaughtered. Would love to stay here again!

I stayed here during my Shimanami Kaido trip because I needed accommodation close to Okunoshima (the rabbit island). The property is essentially a hostel with private rooms. It was clean, comfortable, and well thought out. They provided useful amenities such as a toothbrush, earplugs, warmers for the colder season, and even a torch, which came in handy because it gets really dark at night, and you need it to walk to the kombini.

The island has a very slow pace. Great for relaxing.

The island has a very slow pace. Great for relaxing. We came here on a motorcycle/fishing trip. The motorcycle part was great. The fishing part…. was difficult😩 Lots of chinu (black bream) around and big, but they were not interested in the lures we used. Saw some locals catching them with bait, so we will have to change our strategy next time! Also, squid fishing is quite popular. One more thing, many restaurants only open for lunch or close/take last orders early so be prepared for this or you’ll be eating convenience store foods!🤣

We were involved in the 7 bridges bike ride over 2 days so...

We were involved in the 7 bridges bike ride over 2 days so we only stayed in Imabari for one night. If I was to do this trip again I would do it over 3 or 4 days in order to stay a little longer and explore.
