A wonderful house! The location is very private but very accessible by car. The self check in went flawless and everything was nice and clean. You get a lot of space for the price and the kitchen has what you need to cook a meal. The staff responded timely to any issues. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and it was a good pitstop while exploring Wakayama.

Such a great experience! Despite the fact, that the hotel has only 2 stars, the service, rooms, design and comfort is for 5 stars hotel! There is no option for breakfast and diner, but you will get recommendation from a receptionist with local restaurants and shops around.

The room was lovely and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also have excellent service- I accidentally left my power bank behind and they very helpfully sent it to my next hotel within a couple of days. Would go again!

The monk who runs the property was so helpful recommending local restaurants and giving advice and even gave us a lift to the station. There were free drinks including alcohol. The rooms are part of a temple. The hotel is very close to the main shrine and not far from the station so a great location. The place to stay in Shingu. Good value for money.

A wonderful place with the most thoughful and caring host. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The converted warehouse is equipped with everything you need while traveling and the owner put a lot of thought into every detail of the inn. It is very cozy with japanese-style beds right under the roof. Everything was perfectly clean. It is situated so that you can reach all of Shingu‘s sights, as well as the JR station quickly. There were rental bikes available for free. We would definitely book this accomodation again.

A wonderful place with the most thoughful and caring host. From the moment we arrived we felt at home.
