What a delightful surprise! I remember the Spanish Paradors which were fantastic value and in unique locations- such as here; bang next door to the castle. The view from the room was outstanding! Great staff, good food. Outstanding value. (The photo is taken through our bedroom window. View of the Dead Sea some 30 miles away).

Breakfast was lovely. He's a lovely guy and really, really helpful. There's a really nice personal touch to the place and my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

I'm a seasoned traveller. The difference between a good and bad stay is invariably always the hospitality you receive. What a sincere, kind and genuinely wonderful set of hosts. A young man and his exceptionally bright and well spoken brother whose English is far better than most who live in the UK. They couldn't have been more welcoming beyond inviting us to eat with their family. I hope they both have a great life ahead of them.

Cosy and well stocked apartment in the heart of a traditional community, with all necessary appliances and products available in the bathroom/kitchen. Location is great, with eateries/shops and a mosque all in close walking distance. Very friendly and hospitable hosts who reserved the entire apartment for us and adjusted our check-out time at no extra cost. Wifi also worked well in the main room.

I recently stayed in Sirfah and had a wonderful experience! The owner was friendly and incredibly hospitable, making us feel right at home. We enjoyed some amazing dishes that we had never tried before, adding a special touch to our visit. After a long journey from Aqaba, the accommodation provided the perfect place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended!

Very impressive castle to visit, the opening times were longer than our book said apparently. Could do with signs telling which is which inside. Nice also to have a look around town and grab a schwarma from one of the little stands near the fruit/veg markets and sweet from the nice bakery.

Kerak is a lively town built around the Crusader castle, one of the best preserved in the Levant. Some key events of the Crusades took place in and around Kerak. Unfortunately, we were only able to visit the castle due to time constraints, but we would have loved to visit the surrounding area as well.

The fortress is impressive, and you could wander around it for hours because it's so vast. As for the views from the ramparts, you understand why this location was chosen by the builders; you overlook all the surrounding valleys and hills. However, we would have appreciated some explanatory panels during our visit.

Besides the castle, Kerak has several other attractions. Unfortunately, there is no information available (tourist map of the town and surroundings, brochures). The "tourist office" is limited to selling tickets. The old town has many small, picturesque shops – but hardly any restaurants (these can be found on the hill opposite).

The photo is real but very misleading.

The photo is real but very misleading. It's a slumlord; the owner isn't present on-site, you have to call: no answer until late afternoon. The price is high for what you get. The town is nice, but the fort doesn't warrant more than 2 hours of your visit; don't miss the small, very informative museum at the exit.

Rude people near the castle, instead of helping, charged a hefty fee for a lousy dinner. The booked accommodation couldn't be fulfilled because it turned out the facility didn't exist! I don't recommend it. The terrain is difficult to climb, dirty, and there are almost no attractions. A typical, dirty Arab town. I will never visit such places again.

We liked the concept of this hotel. It is a bubble room on the terrace of a three-floor building. The view is just pure magic, and it is a short distance from Kerak Castle. We spent a wonderful time sitting in the terrace area, watching the sunset with a five-star view. The owners were always in touch with us, making sure to be there to greet us. Parking was easy, right in front of the property. We are a family of three, and it was perfect for us. They kindly left some water and snacks for us as well. We truly enjoyed our stay.
